Is anyone planning on picking a destination race for 2011? Preferably some where with a beach??

How about Little Rock?!? I'm not sure if they have a beach or not. I might have to look a map...

What about Olathe, Kansas? If Little Rock doesn't have a beach, then I'm sure there must be one in Kansas.

Seriously, I was thinking that if I had nothing else to do the first weekend of May, I might register for the New Jersey Marathon. Yeah, I've already done that one. But I can run it again without needing a plane ticket or a hotel. And it's three weeks before my birthday, which means I could use it as a training run in case I really decide to attempt 40 miles on my birthday. There's also a 5 mile race the same day back near here where I live in the afternoon. It might be cutting it close time-wise, but I might be able to run the marathon in the morning and then come back home and run the 5-miler in the afternoon. Or would that be too nutty?

Anyway, the point is, the New Jersey Marathon is right on the beach. (Or, as we here in Jersey call it, "the shore"). There are lots of NY/NJ/PA/DE folks around here, so we oughtta be able to get a good crowd there without much trouble. Any thoughts?
