(That's for Lori)...hope he/she comes soon and labor is as easy as labor can be for you!!

Missy...sorry about grandpa--love to family...

Fun: I have two parties to attend tonight (I know, right?) Not fun: It's 8.3 degrees, which in my book is an Olympic score, not a temperature. Seriously limits clothing options...

Fun: I am done grading papers after a seriously long and hard year. Not fun: they didn't do so great. Some will be VERY surprised at their final grade. Seriously, you can't omit one whole page of a huge exam and then say "I expect to get an A in this class.."

Hugs to all--sorry I've been absent--swamped at work--blah blah--still checked in on you guys from time to time to get the skinny...

Morning!

Fun: I only just looked at the Christmas Idea list for my family last night, because I already had ideas for the people we drew, and found out Momoleenie wants a neck gator or something. Since I still have a week, I'm going to get some yarn today to make her one.

Also fun: Dinner tonight with FIL, his wife, and a niece & nephew.

Fun-ish: glazing beads. Firing a bisq kiln tomorrow so I need to get this done today.

Ahhhh. There's the Holiday Spirit!

Holiday Spirit-O-Thon: Here is your mission: Regardless of the Holiday you celebrate, how fervent you are in that celebration, or your degree of zest for life, you must do something, say something, act something, give something or forgive someone something this weekend, then report it back here. I know. I'm nuts. I'm sitting here typing this out and I'm thinking, "Michelle, what the hell are you doing? You probably won't get a chance to do something. You don't have anyone in mind. You haven't got the time. Your pretend friends who are reading this are going to think you have lost your marbleys!" But....I DON'T CARE. We are all lucky beyond knowing. We all have gifts to share. Let us make the world a nicer place this weekend. Ok. Now that I've scared you all, let me say that it doesn't have to be a big thing. It could be a teeny tiny thing. It should be something that you think twice about. Bite your tongue if that's what it takes. Say something nice that you wouldn't normally say. Take a 20 out of your pocketbook instead of giving the change in your pocket. Or go big, if that's how you roll. Whatever! Just do the deed. Go. Do. I'm going to do the same.

Dear Winter--You so rock. I am in and know exactly what I will do. I'm also gonna pass this idea on because it's such a good one. More later. :) Hugs to you--Craney

Good morning!

I love that idea, Winter! I will get on that right away.

Fun: I went to the school holiday party last night. It was so much fun. I must say, I work with some of the nicest people ever. Their SOs are just as nice.

Not fun: I tweaked my neck a few days ago, trying not to fall down the stairs. Usually, when I do this, it starts to feel better within a day. It still is very hurty. Luckily, Winter break is almost here and I'll have lots of time to rest it!

Fun: It's the weekend!!!!

Winter, I'm in too. I'm feeling a little guilty about something I was totally justified in doing, but could have been more flexible on if I had felt like it. I didn't, and while I still think it's the right decision, I do feel bad. So, I will do extra this weekend to balance out the karma.

So, I'm sitting here typing, and I hear my cat make a groan-y noise, and I look over and he's laying in front of the window, still. I panicked for a second and then saw his ears twitch, so I knew he was ok, but I got on my hands and knees and crawled over to him. He saw me coming and looked confused, but when I tried to snuggle with him and show him love for being an awesome furry friend, he got up and walked away. Stupid, awesome furry friend.

Love to all this weekend!

Michelle, I've completed your mission already, even if I didn't know you were going to ask this, and even though I was sorta put up to it:

I was just out with my sis, my niece, and my sis' BF. We were near my sis' home and saw an old woman walking home pushing her little grocery carriage, and my sis noticed she'd lost something from it. She said as much, and pulled over and I hoped out, and walked back to the woman and told her she'd lost something but I'd go back and get it for her. Turns out it wasn't anything of hers, but she was very appreciative that we stopped to help her anyway.

I also made my sis' BF a bagel sandwich when she came to pick me up this morning. But I'm Italian...we feed people.

Greetings from CHLA. We are doing ok. I went home for a bit yesterday afternoon to shower, get some clothes and see Emersen. Slept a bit better last night due to the ambien I snagged from DH. Definitely not quiet staying in a room with 3 other babies. I'm on the waiting list for a room at the Ronald McDonald house but ai couldn't get in last night. If I can't tonight I'm going to get a hotel room.

I'll check in again later. Going to rundown downstairs to eat.

More hugs going out to you KJ and throwing some your wy Torque.

No baby yet but another rough day of contractions. I think I might make DH take me ot Target or something so I can walk around some more. More than anything, I am just getting sick of everyone I encounter saying "WOW, you look like you are going to pop". Thank you, thank you for the sympathy and support toolbags! HA!

Winter we kind of did today, took Aiden to a Christmas party at the nursing home DH's gran lives in. He can be shy at times, but he was ON today, high fives and handshakes to a lot of the residents, they were all smiling when he made his exit But we were actually thinking of a few other things to do this weekend that might fit the bill too. Our neighbor lives alone and usually visits family the week before Christmas so he is solo during the actual holidays. I was thinking of making him some cookies and having Aiden take them over (all our old folk neighbors LOVE Aiden and he loves them too, so nice). Thanks for the reminder of how little things can mean a lot to someone else!

Ok off to devise a plan to evict this baby!

Hi all - running around frantically trying to get everything cleaned up and our first couple days itinerary made up and then picking up Kris late night tonight. SFO was a disaster yesterday arrival-wise, but the break in the rain in the morning plus lowered Saturday airline traffic means (crossing fingers) a close to on-time arrival. But we shall see.

Continued good thoughts and mojo to (((((((KJ & Grayson and family; Maureen & Mom, Torque & Family, Lori and the newbie-to-be and anyone else who may need 'em)))))))

Well so much for on-time arrival. Current est departure is 1 hr 40 min past orig departure time. Possible it won't be that long but am not holding my breath.

Winter- I have smiled at a lot of ppl at the airports today, does that count? Even TSA.

If I miss anyone it's not intentional, it's Guinness.

I made Guinness Milk Chocolate Ice Cream tonight, drinking the rest the Guinness. Holy hell that ice cream is good. I poured it into a container to freeze but even at great risk of having my tongue stick to the inside of the ice cream maker I was licking the bowl. YUM-MAY! I'm also going to make Candied Bacon, Coffee, Peppermint Stick and good ole Vanilla.

Vitamin D - do you have to take a test or can you just pick up some Vitamin D supplement at the drugstore and take it?

There was more, but I am feeling a little boozy. dangit. ONE BEER? I'm such a cheap date.

Morning! F-ing cold here again.
Goonie - Vit D is a blood test (my doc does it with my annual physical) - but you can pick up supplements in a drug store.

Today's fun is not yet set. Yesterday I had a nice time eating a homemade version of a favorite take away spot from Eugene - Hawaiian Time!! (duckie, do you know this place?)
