Is it still winter up north?

Greetings from Hollywood Beach. After a great day of sunshine yesterday it is still a little overcast today and a lot more of that dry humidity. Low 70s for my run this morning but didn't have to worry about the hot sun. Parked at a supermarket and ran about 1.25 miles to the beach (saved $7 parking) and ran the length of Hollywood Beach. Got to the end at 30:27 and headed back. The return trip took 28:13 for a total of 58:40. Tried to mapmyrun but was not successful so I will give myself 7.5 miles.

McSolar, I also gave up marathons years ago when my ITband and metatarsal stress fracture "told" me to. One thing that I find very interesting is that the pace to bonk at 20 miles compared to 26 miles is only 8-10 seconds. That is only about 3 minutes and it is very easy to go a little fast. My problem was that I was usually too conservative and never wanted to push my limit. I did start bonking in a very hilly race at about 20 miles and after I finished I had all kinds of muscles cramping up because I was out of fuel.

Didn't have time to post more yesterday but I did get flashed right as I was finishing up my run. A lady parked outside the campground gate and walked in to take a shower. She might have dropped something and just as I came around a curve, she was getting up and "redoing" her towel. Wasn't really close enough to enjoy the view but she was smiling as I passed her since she figured I saw something. Nekkid ladies always seem to make a run more enjoyable.
