I'm just a 26.2 guy, but I know this course very well and run it regularly. It's 10K out and back on a bike path - repeated 5 or 10 times for 50K or 100K.<br><br>
In a world of epic mountian and trail ultras, it seems odd to me. Perhaps she's looking for a fast time, in which case it would make sense.

She probably knows some of the OCTR members, who may be hosting her.<br><br>
I'm also pretty sure she's good buds with Ronda and Stacy who are from here and a blast to hang out with. They're know as the "party girls" despite being fortyish moms, Ronda ran the Grand Slam this year and I think won it.<br><br>
I've briefly met the last 4 100k runners on that list - Natalie, Ronda, Stacy, Leah and can say that they all have smiles that are amazing.<br><br>
The other thing is that 100ks are pretty few and far between and there is an expectation that you'll have to travel. Hopping a flight from Seattle or Portland to the OC for the weekend is one of the easiest trips imaginable even if that race has a rep as just local and low key.<br><br>
I'm really surprise that Michelle Barton and Rob Cowan haven't entered.
