Round 7 will begin in sunny Los Angeles on March 7. Teams will have until April 6 to complete the course. Athletes will follow Route 66 to Chicago. On reaching the Windy City, the trails portion of the race will conclude and the rails portion will begin. We will then follow the route of the old New York Central Railroad, heading from Chicago to Detroit, passing briefly through Canada on our way to Buffalo, then on to Albany and finally to New York City.

The Commish's Office is implementing the following Conceptual Change. In past rounds, 1 VRAA point equaled 1 mile traveled. In this round, 1 VRAA point will equal 1/4 mile traveled. When you run 1/4 in training, you will earn 1 point, and you will move your team forward 1/4 mile.

Here are the details of the route.

San Bernardino - 53 miles, 212 points
The first team to New York City wins. If no team makes it to NYC, the team with most points at the end of the round wins.

Looks like the leaders are now in New York State!
