I've already spotted the precursor flowers! I am scouting every T/TH since the road I take to school is a good spot for them...I say 2-3 more weeks just in time to show them off to friends coming in from out of state! I'm so proud of our bluebonnets!

Me too! My in laws are coming at the end of march to hang with Babybay and I'm hoping for carpets of Bluebonnets to show off. I'm going to be one of those dorks on the side of the road taking pictures with the baby.

I think that's kind of expected of Texans at least ONCE! I've dragged my kids out once much to their dismay and made them stand in a field LOL

Reminds me of a story from a couple of years ago. A coworker received a surprise visit from her husband he showed up with a coffee cup full of bluebonnets for her. All the girls in the office were so envious...I went home and told my husband the story-hint hint...
A couple of days later I get a grumpy phone call from said husband. Come get me, I've locked my keys in the truck. So I go to the midpoint between his work and home where he says he is and he's sitting locked out on the tailgate of a RUNNING truck on a major road with a handful of crumpled dying bluebonnets in his hand. I give him his keys, he says "here these are for you" pushing the bluebonnets to me. I have to say it was really very sweet. We laugh about it now, but he didn't think it was so funny at the time.

And it's snowing in North Texas, too. Snowing! In March! For the second time this week, so it's not some random fluke of cold that is gone in 5 hours!
