<p>I am heading to the Xterra Ft. Custer.  12month anniversary from my first ever off-road race.  I am excited!</p>

<p>Thinking about jumping in a little 5k Saturday that benefits a local family - the wife/mother sustained serious injuries skiing this winter and they're looking for ways to defray medical expenses.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'm not expecting much in the way of results, certainly no PR.  Just haven't been doing the mileage or the tempo stuff lately.</p>

<p>First mountain race of the summer. Very excited! Just got to stay horizontal on this roller coaster of a course that starts at the base of the mountain, circles on up to the summit, and then slams down in a roller coaster up and down with a major (and very dangerous) net down.</p>

<p>Galena sprint : 660yd swim, 16.8 mile bike, 4.3 mile run.  Nice and hilly.  80% chance of rain and thunderstorms and talk of canceling.  If that happens I'll still enjoy it out there, its a 3 hour drive in a beautiful area and we have a nice house we are renting.  I'm bringing the wife, daughter, mom and mom in law as well as food to cook out while we're there.   Should be fun.</p>

<p>Yep.  Mine's a 5K memorial run.  Kinda feel obligated to do it.  Running is so not happening this season.  If I run a 26:something I'll be happy.  Race is at 9am and I have to work at 10.  Should be interesting!</p>

<p>10K Run to the Shrine on Saturday. Starts at The Broadmoor Hotel, goes uphill about 4.2 miles to the Will Rogers Shrine, then back down to the finish in the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The up is continuous and steep in places. Should be interesting.</p>
