Yep, I am heading to Ogden Utah for Xterra Nationals this Sat. I keep reminding myself that I am happy to be in the game (and will be happier if I don't finish dead last in my AG) ; this is totally out of my league. I am nervous about 30k mtb climbing something like close to 3000ft. The conventional wisdom wouldn't apply here - what goes up wouldn't come down - it is a point to point mtb cousre, finishing the bike leg at Snowbasin where I think the Olympic ski events were held. Running 10k trail at that altitude will be... interesting. Oh before all that I will swim in a resovoir at 5000ft above sea level. Brrrr. I am super excited though. It will be FUN. Keep your fingers and toes crossed that I make a bike cut off!

My tri season officially ended this past weekend. Although, there is one very last race this weekend so I might possibly throw in a Sprint for fun.....

Not racing, but riding the Seacoast Century. Plan is to go back-to-back (200 miles in 2 days), but we'll see how I feel on Sunday - mostly about the weather (right now, predicted as low 60s and showers). Will probably do them both though .... Seeing as I bagged all racing this year (except for an April 5K), this will be my athletic accomplishment for the year ...

Good luck Yoshi and Nam. ... Mojo to you both!

My triathlon season will be coming to an end this weekend at the Mainiac Tri here in southern Maine. Finished second overall there last year, so I'm hoping for another good result this year.

Sprint Tri. Will all the crap with my bike... getting a cold... stress at work... finding out my ex business partner died... like 2 weeks ago (!) and the "celebration of life" is Sat... I've not been on my game. I'm going mostly because I can, I expect NOTHING from this race though.
