My aunt has the same girl's name, but her middle name is Georgeann......<br>
Her uncle's name was George.<br>
We called her Aunt George my entire life.<br>
Makes family gatherings easier....I get my first name, she gets her middle...no one is confused.

i'm named after my mother's favourite cousin... she was one of the group of older cousins/siblings/etc., and she sought to include my much younger mother in all of their high jinks when they were kids.<br><br>
i used to hate my name. i thought it was garbage. i remember asking my mother why she gave me such a crap name... and she said "you have the most beautiful name. i love the person after whom you're named so very much..." yeah, whatever. i was, oh, 12.<br><br>
and, then i met her cousin when i was, what, 17, 18?<br><br>
