Last night on my run I saw a guy riding his bike with lights all around. I thought that's cool, he's really lit up. It seemed odd to me that as I ran, he seemed to be getting closer. His lights were red, surley he's going AWAY. Nope, rode right passed.

I turned to look and as i was thinking he's backward, someones gonna pull out of a side strret seeing red.... Screechhhh..... metal crunching and down he goes. He was going pretty slow when he hit the car and he jumped right up so I assumed he was OK.

We are already heated by cagers, let's try and stay safe out there and not send mixed messages.

Good point, Sheldon. I didn't know that. I'm going to get lights for my bike this spring, so that I'm more visible. It makes my DH feel better, too.

You know, I didn't even think about it like that before your post, Sheldon - makes complete sense.

I actually did buy some lights for all the riding I was (thought I was anyway...so much for best laid plans) going to do this winter, and luckily enough one is white and the other is red.
