How about "Canadian Club-the beer is free" that should get all the oui and non's in.

All hail the Gromoderator.

Gro, did you get inspired by what I said about Saskatchewan... I think we should consider
le je ne sais pas quoi de Montréal.

don't like the word contingent in lieu of what is happening these days..if that could be changed, would be nice.

I, unfortunately, seem to have lost my creativity today...don't have any ideas to throw in the hat.

Can't we all just get along? Another SS reporting from Ladysmith, B.C.

Geez, I don't believe in borders of any kind, even though the #)($*#( border guards don't seem to grasp the concept. What's a World Citizen to do?

Df7, are you perchance Dfly from CR B&B days? I think I remember you.
Guess with grommit in charge, anything goes.

Oui, Sans Souci, c'est moi, la libellule ...what a nice surprise, you have quite the memory..franchement...c'est rigolo ... et je me souviens (no pun intended) that you have a quirky sense of humour and a faible for costumes and coloured hair, n'est ce pas ? Welcome to the fray...

as an import.... I'm all about a world sans frontiers ..... I'll bet my passport is different colour than yours......

Df7, you're half right: I do have a penchant to pink wigs and attendant frou frou, but for the most part, I'm old and humourless.

You assume too much about my language skills, sorry to say. Living here too long and, oh, I'm bilingual all right: English and Island Hoser (you do not want to know). So maybe I should pop in from time to time. Might learn a few things.

Grommit, just my opinion, but if you want a Quebec Club, yes, you should find a name more fitting. I'm not bothered by it one bit. If it's comfy for the members, good.

I'll just continue to hang with the general population, more often than not the Masters. It's nice getting to know some of the other "inmates" here too.

This Canadian Contingent sub-site will become home for local canadian sub-groups, is it not the idea ? Why change the name, then ? Multiplication of communication channels is no communication.

Hey guys, for this sub-site, are we going Canadian (right now, this is what our name imply) ? Quebec ? Montreal ? It is a bit confusing... Fucken identity crisis. I vote for Canada. We invite as many cities as possible (start with Canal from Ottawa) & we continue our own YUL thing. What do you think ?

From a Logistical perspective - I'd prefer all canajun's use this as their home.. You could have your threads if so desired.. I created it cause the Montreal group was so large, but me bein' a stupid 'merkun.. I kinda forgot Canada is like a real COUNTRY..

So.. if the Montreal group would be so kind as to bring in all of their glorious and LARGE contingent - this admin would be in your debt (as long as the exchange rate is fair..

thanks guys and gals..

We're actually not a very big crowd, we just talk a lot ... and meet up and drink beer and eat food together. Run together? Pshaw! Well, maybe sometimes ...

Montreal does have its share of lurkers though ...

I do hope that more Canadians do join us in this new forum ...

Cheers all!

I see most of us Southern Ontario rabble are still keeping our heads down.

Could it be for not wanting to be on the receiving end of anticipated T.O.-bashing volleys, or are we all just too embarassed by how the Leafs are doing!

Noooooo, don't be silly. We love the bashing. We know we are the exact Centre of the Universe and it all revolves around us, so bashing is comforting, knowing all is well in the cosmos.

You just wait. The Leafs are on the brink of mediocrity and if we ever get a big league team here in Toronto we'll just show you.
