DH and I stayed at a very nice hotel this weekend and had a king size bed...and I realized I couldn't even reach him from where I was sleeping. We sleep in a full at home...with the dog. It's, ahem, <i>cozy</i>.<br><br>
What size do you have?<br><br>

our bed is too short for me. mr. poo fits just fine.<br><br>
which means my efforts at convincing him we need a queen sized bed aren't so.

I have a friend who slept in a 3/4 bed for years, OBH. It was a cranked rope bed...pretty neat.

Does 'semi-antique' mean it's from the early 80's? <img alt="laughing7.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/laughing7.gif">

We have a queen, which is perfect for the 2 of us. However, it is not so hot when the rambunctious kitty boys decide that they need to sleep perpendicular to us. With their tails and front paws sticking straight out - just to be sarcastic.

This is <a href="http://www.leonardsdirect.com/" target="_blank">an explanation about rope beds</a> and this is an <a href="http://www.countrybed.com/beds/bed_documents/rope.htm" target="_blank">explanation about how the support works.</a>

We have a queen and it feels too small. My DH has restless leg syndrome and I have a humongous belly. We've been meaning to upgrade to king...one of these days.

sweet! I'm the only one in the poor grad student crew. After having a girlfriend in college and spending all that time finding creative ways to squeeze 2 people into a twin, i feel like i could get lost inside anything larger

Ah HAH!...and I quote:<br><br>
"Hemp rope is made from a strain of the marijuana plant grown for it fibrous stem. It is illegal to grow hemp in the U.S. Although hemp rope is imported, asking for it at your local hardware store will get you a knowing smile and possibly a visit from your local law enforcement agency."<br><br>
I will admit to having smoked "rope" <i>in</i> a bed, but I never had a bed totally made of "rope"...but what a concept...

Queen, and we have to have a split box spring because that's what fits up the stairs.<br><br>
King wouldn't fit in our room, and a full is too tiny for comfort for us.<br><br>
Our pets do not sleep with us. But our pets are bees.
