It's b/c they want you there in person so they can tempt you with cinnamon buns and other assorted must have items positioned strategically right before the checkout. Damn IKEA and their damn smart solutions to my everyday problems. Grrrrr

I helped open the IKEA here in Atl. It was crazy how many people camped out. There were even people *living* inside the bed/mattress area for a week (radio promo). The first people got several thousand dollars in gift cards. That's why they did it. We would chat with them everyday and bring them food and stuff. <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif"><br><br>
The opening day was nuts. We stood for an hour at the base of the entrance escalator clapping, cheering and hitting thundersticks as all the first customers came in. It was actually kinda cool! I thought I had a pic on this computer of the opening but I guess they're on my other computer!
