As a Midwesterner who lived many years in SoFla (a borough of NYC) and is now living in the Southeast, I have to say that as nice as Midwesterners are, I see Southerners (as a group) as being just as nice.<br><br>
But I do think that the closer you get to a big city, the ruder people tend to be to each other as a group (e.g., on the road, in the stores) no matter where you go.
