If you eat at Subway. Which I do. A lot.

6" ham and cheese on wheat (provolone) - heated in the microwave so it's all melty, and the bread is soft, instead of crusty like when you toast it.

spinach
tomatoes
cucumbers
green peppers
onions
pickles (LOTS)
mustard

Mmmm.. Can you tell I just ate lunch?

Yep, 6 points, with cheese!

I had a moral victory today when I opted for just the sammich and not the baked doritos.

The veggies are always good at our subway. Sometimes the tomatoes are blah, but it's seasonal for sure.

Bux, are you veggie-less at subway?

Usually I have them make a lower (probably only slightly) fat version of the chicken parmesan sammy they used to have:

roasted chicken breast
marinara sauce
provolone
wheat or italian herb and spice bread
toast all that,
and then spinach and onions, oregano, parmesan, and sometimes those yellow banana peppers.

If they have the BBQ chicken sandwich, which isn't always, I'll have them just put pickles and onions on it and it tastes just like that McD's McRib sandwhich but so much better for you.

Now I'm hungry.

6" veggie delight on Italian herbs and cheese
provolone--toasted
not too much lettuce (they put way too much on if I don't specify)
tomatoes
onions
green peppers
banana peppers
pickles
extra cucumbers
vinegar
a tiny bit of the chipotle southwest sauce (again have to specify or they gob it on)
salt and pepper

I eat this for lunch too often...

I always find it funny when they want to add lots of extra lettuce because they want to make the sandwich more filling since I'm not eating meat.

Altoids, I love the veggie max, too, but it's not always easy to find in the Southeast. Also, I find that if I'm getting a foot long for dinner (when traveling), I can't eat the veggie max on both halves, it's too much.

I know, and it's iceberg! bleh. I might have to try subway again. Last time I went, the veggie sub consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and possibly some peppers. Just didn't excite me too much.

I don't really pay much attention to the meat (though I do try to stay away from the higher fat content ones) - I just make sure to get all the veggies, wheat bread, and mustard only. And I make sure to get the jalapeños and other spicier peppers in there.

If I do get a foot-long, I eat half now and save the half for later.

Ham sandwich is 5 pts, plus one for cheese, as far as I know...
