Morning Masterfuls!!

Glad to hear Johnny's got his running mojo back!

WTG at RVM, SS! You rock, girl!!

I'm still hoping to hear more details and see some pictures on the meet-up.

{{{{{Econo}}}} Glad you're OK.

My decision to cross train for two weeks has taken me back to the pool for the first swim in over a year. Did a slow 1000m, with a few lengths in there of kickboard and breast stroke. Now we will see if my asthma kicks in again.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning!

I'm at home this morning while new windows are being installed. I won't get my run in until evening, but this gives me chance to catch up on all of the race reports on both KR and RA from the last couple of weeks.

Later.

7.1 miles. Another beautiful morning here, over dressed a little. Kept the pace nice an easy. Trying to work on my form to decrease back pain, at least no foot pain this morning! Core workout later.

Have a wonderful day!

Heme, I'm right there with you with the crosstraining. Rode the bike today for 18 miles in the park. Something about it, just doesn't hold my interest, though. With running I never get bored. Any other activity, meh. But seeing that my left leg is currently wearing an "out of order" sign, it's what I've got to work with (to paraphrase Hedwig of the Angry Inch).

Hi Heme---good on you for swimming and hope it eases the aches

Gorgeous day in the Commonwealth---ran 9.6 peppy miles at 7:00 am, 34 degrees and scarlet, pumpkin, and blinding banana yellow leaves all around.

Glad you are okay now Econo.

Whoosh! What's that you say? Why that was SS running her marathon! Way to rock it sistah.

Pink! I did like the new half-marathon course at Hartford, quite a bit in fact. I chuckled when I read the quote from Kim Smith in the Courant (New Zealander who trains in Rhode Island with elite runner boyfriend Pat Tarpy). She described the course as tough and hilly. Naw...not so much. Granted she ran the half as a workout to prep for NYC and broke the course record for women with her 1:11.

I liked the section that went through Elizabeth Park and loved zooming up and then down the last bit to the finish. The new start location is cool too.

Hope that pretending doesn't get real any time soon TW!

This is the first year in 5 that I missed running Hartford and had to settle for a half. The pr was nice, but I'd like to get back to doing a full someday. We'll see how the ol' bod holds up this winter.

10 miles for me this morning, with temps starting at 32, so I dug out the tights for the first time this year. 8:18 avg pace.

Good mor...oh, my gosh it's afternoon already. This working on a hotel computer is discombobulating me.

I ran a sharpening workout on the treadmill this morning. Mile warm up, 1/4 mile intervals at 6:52 pace, 1/4 mile recoveries at 12:00 pace, 1/8 mile intervals at 6:00 then 5:57 pace with 1/8 mile recoveries. I guess I don't like running fast on treadmills, especially when they're really close to the wall on one side. More discombobulation. Total of about 4 miles in all including a shortened cool down - 10:00 mile suddenly felt like work and not cooling down. Chalking it up to getting 9 hours sleep last night instead of my usual 5 or 6.

Congratulations and Condolences to the Texas Rangers. They won their first ever Post Season Series last night, now they get to play their away games in a stadium where there will actually be supportive fans cheering on the home team. Seeing how they don't win their home games, that will make it a little harder.
