6 miles in today. Temps were a bit cooler but still warmer than I like...66F. At least the humidity was lower.

60 minutes on the elliptical for me this morning. I really wanted to run today, but I was feeling some discomfort in my Achilles when i woke up this morning and decided I better not. I have an ART appointment in about an hour, so I plan to pepper him with questions about how much I can run right now. I know I can run with some amount of discomfort, I just don't want to push it. Anyhoo, I also did ab work and weights this morning.

Aphi - smart not to push it today. I'm glad you're getting ART, it has made a world of difference for me and all my issues.

12 miles at 5:20 this morning after a tough hill repeat workout last night. I'm tired! But it's good Reach the Beach training. I did my 6 mile route twice. First go 'round was 55:23 (9:14), second was 53:50 (8:59). Total time: 1:49:13 (9:06). Happy about the negative splits!

6 miles at lunch today. Sunny, breezy and very hot. 75 degrees or so. I thought I'd be more sore after yesterday's hill workout (same one as jensparks), but I did feel slow and tired.

8 miles in 1:10 on the treadmill after work. 6 were at MP+5-10 seconds and this week that didn't feel like a struggle.

I see no mention of wiping out - did you stay on your feet? You must be getting better at this trail stuff! Nicely done!

I haven't wiped out the last few times I've been up the trail.
I'm blaming the blue heron that I always see on the trail. Whenever I see him, I usually fall that night. No blue heron=I'm safe.
