I didn't end up with any shoes but it was still a good trip. They have running groups that meet at the store on Tuesday, and Thursday evenings and on Saturday mornings. I am so psyched because I have been looking for a group like this around my area. The girl said in June she is going to start a marathon training group. That will be good to train for my half. She seems very nice and it will be a great way for me to meet people in my area.

I ended up having to order my shoes online. I tried to support my LRS but it didn't work out

runrchk, did you know there are other forums in here? Considering you've started several threads on basic running, you might want to check out this place - http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9

I think it will suite you very well!

I stopped by my LRS at lunch since I wasn't running today and didn't know what the hell else to do with myself. Just hung around and BS'd. Talked about injuries and the dude suggested a heel insert for my Achilles issue. Figured I'd them a try. Went to pay for it and he just told me to take it.
