SB - yes, moose chasing/shooing def counts as a workout!!!

DH is skiing (teaching) as is DS, snow is ok they said, but too warm for the mountains to make more, so losing the base...weather should turn back to more normal temps this week for them to get the guns going again.

Did get out for a run the other day, but nothing but walking since. Think I just need the mental break until Monday.

Happy New Year!

Ended up getting a bit of weights and 30 min on the trainer yesterday as DD was also getting on the bike, so we watched yellowstone together...

Today - just a dog walk and puttering around the house

Happy New Year!!! What would 2023 be going to look like?!?!

Moose chasing definitely counts toward exercises. I heard they move only when they are ready to move. 😂. Hopeful no accidents and too much jam.

zoj - a warm weather is on your way. Maybe even a record :(. Yea need snow.

yesterday was 5mile hike in Pisgha national forest. Linville Gorge and falls (considered to be Grand Canyon of east … hmm that’s not quite right). Spent NYE in Charleston WV. Nothing much was going on.

Jan 1 - travel back home day. 6 hrs with a few stops. Including micro brewery. I can’t even remember how many different beers we tried at how many breweries over the last 7 days. It will end now!

A big news - I am getting a fat bike, finally!! Couldn’t resist $700 price tag for a decent brand-new fattie. I know two GIRLBIKERS ride this bike. We Need Snow!!

Yo whoohoo a fat bike!
What will 2023 look like? I have an enthusiastic backpack partner she's got us permits for Paria canyon late March. Thats usually ski time but I guess I can miss a week to get an early start, we have all kinds of summer plans, the southern Wyoming range and perhaps a full Winds traverse. First I have a very pressing short term contract and I've got a ski race Jan 28t h unless I have to travel for that contract. Then a visit to Boston. So 2023 should ahve more travel, more backpacking and more skiing!

For the 31st I did an 8 mile backcountry ski breaking trail in the 7inches of new over several feet of old snow. Then a number of folks showed up at the newly reopened (part time) bar and grill we were all in bed by 9pm.. So has a possible health issue that come up Friday so I've been doing all the heavy chores until he cna see the doc (tomorrow) so I've been shoveling as it keeps on snowing. He did do the plowing! The moose moved on for the moment since his slat got covered.
