Ok..... I've been lurking here too long! I need to get serious and lose some weight! I've been hovering around 205 since the 1st of the year and now that I have my mileage back up to 40 mpw, I want to see some payoffs in my race times.... the best way is to lose the LBS. So........

Starting weight 205
Goal weight 180
(Dream weight 160)

Tech that is amazing weight loss.... the most amazing thing to me is that you did it through the Holidays

Thanks so much to everyone! And I'm happy to report that I lost another 4 lbs. this week. I'm at 175 with a total loss of 61 lbs. 15 lbs. to go to reach my first goal, which may also be my last goal but its been so long since I weighed that, I have no idea how I'll look at that weight.
I hope to be close to that on April 26th for my first half marathon!!! The weight loss has done wonders for my speed. I went from 13:30+mm to -11:00mm! Still very slow but relative to my start weight/speed, I'm happy with the results.

Edited to say that I'll put before and after pics up here pretty soon. or at least before and during pics....

techgirl, congrats! I just came across your amazing story exploring some of the other forums (love that name Shoe Busters). 61lbs since last Oct. is just incredible. Inspirational.

About 3 years ago I lost a little over 70lbs myself. While I'd gained a little over 20 of that back as of the beginning of this year I am now back on my way down having lost about 10 since Jan. 1st.

I am still a Clydesdale and probably will always be one (my dream weight is 195).

Nice job to everyone in this thread. There's plenty of us out there.
