Techgirl is teh awesome. Thank you for the inspiration.

So, after last week's gain and my DNF in a half marathon due to ITBS, I had some time to think. I started watching my calories closely. I decided I'd like to lose a pound a week. Given my past performance, that goal is plenty ambitious. It would put me down to 214 in the middle of the year and 188 by year's end.

I had very successful week. I really must have gone crazy during the Holiday (i.e. Eating) season. I made my 1 lb/wk goal retroactive to the beginning of the year.

This week's goal: 237
Last: 242.4
Now: 235.2
Week Chg: -7.2
Year Chg: -4.8

you people amaze me with you ability to keep track on the Calories... I have not been able to maintain a diet sturcture for the past two weeks.. I have just been counting on enough running, walking, weights and core to make up for junk food and Coctails

hopefully I can draw some motivation from you people!

Billy a DNF would really Pizz me off... I am hoping I dont have one with my first 50K.... I hope your ITBS gets better soon

Billy, Awesome WI!!
Richard, you should try FitDay. I use it to track my calories and activity.
It really helps me to stay on track.
I have lost another 2 pounds since Saturday...I think because I've been sick, but oh well, I'll take what I can get!

I know what you mean Richard. Writing down everything and counting calories is the only way I've found to keep myself honest though...

This was a good week, though I think my numbers from the this morning may be artificially low due to a 90min run beforehand.

This week:
SW: 215
Last week: 211.0
Current: 207.4
Last Week Loss: 3.6
Total Loss: 7.6
Goal: 190 (17.4 to go)

I may start using a 10-day weighted average to smooth the fluctuations a little.
