Well, this weekend was my first set back. I had a great weekend for exercising...but not so good eating-wise.

I'm up a couple pounds, so my goal is to be back to my low-point by Friday.

goals:
stick to my calories in fitday.
exercise all 5 days.

I declared a FRESH START today for myself. I needed to make it a formal thing in my mind. So, I'm focusing on eating more simple foods and making the extra effort to avoid late-night snacking. My running is cut back now and I can't afford to have them extra calories piling up. So far, so good today.

B: Plain FF yogurt with blueberries
S: Banana
L: Wild rice and bulgar, broccoli and panko-shrimp (more panko than I would have liked so I limited how many I ate) + an orange
S: Almonds, banana
D: ???

At this point, I am somewhere in the 130s. I don't have a scale, but I use my belly as a gauge. If I lose 10 more pounds, my abs won't look so soft and fleshy, so there's some incentive for if I want to go streaking or perform at the VMAs or something.

I did a budget. I seem to have very little left over for food and entertainment and etc things which is probably for the best as it will definitely cut down on me buying things I don't really need...like PB M&Ms.

B: 1/2 cup oatmeal with raisins, 6 oz chocolate milk
L: Banana, tuna (made with mayo and mustard) and colby cheese sandwich on wheat bread
S: what's that?!
D: veggie dog and veggie baked beans
X: Hot cocoa

I took HH's advice and recorded measurements from the neck to calves. I'll check them again maybe in a month or at Christmas.

I only went out to eat once last week...... I cannot tell you the last time I could say that! There was a good reason, an old friend brought her baby for everyone to see and so the old gang went to dinner Friday night. I took a doggie bag home and ate on leftovers Saturday.

Well this week gonna try the same- limit eating out, not missing workouts. I also need to drink more water when I get home from work. I do a great job at work drinking about probably 60-80 ounces of water a day. I take full advantage of the water cooler. But when I get home 2 or 3 caffiene free diet dr. peppers are still probably too much. If probably should cut down to one for the supper meal and then water afterwards until bedtime.

Good luck to everyone this week. You'll make progress.

Maples, how's the veggie intake going? Just wondering if you've had any luck finding stuff you like.

Add me to the "Stubborn weight" category this week. I'm at the same that I was last Monday.

I eat really well, get longer walks/runs in... and I stay at X weight. However, I also eat at 6:30 at O'charlie's, and my weight stays at X weight.

Saturday morning, I actually wondered if something was up with the scale. I weighed myself before and after my 2 mile run, and only then did I see a difference... but apparently it was all in water/sweat, as the lbs were back the next day. Bleh!

I have something positive to share. I bought a pair of shorts 2 summers ago, didn't try them on at the store. Took them home, didn't fit. At the beginning of this summer I tried them on, could finally get them on but no snapping. Started running........10 weeks later, they fit!!!! I wore them yesterday. Obviously I have no idea what the real size is but I don't care either.

I am still trying to tackle the whole veggie thing. I like fruit, am not a veggie fan....PLEASE HELP....give me good ideas.

ah yes Beaker you had the friend here in Oxford at one time right?! I didn't eat at Bottletree but I did eat at Old Venice pizza. Voted #1 in the state. Twas good.

Moe must confess zero effort made to find any new veggies. Such a stinker I am. Peas, carrots are about as far as I go. Fruits, however, I do love.

Colleen congrats. I bet that was a very nice surprise.

I started Weight Watchers yesterday. The 8 pounds my Dr wanted me to lose last year has drifted into 10, or maybe even more. You know, the kicker is that for me, it's really easy to justify not trying to lose just a small amount of weight. The truly motivating factor is the nice work clothes I have in my closet that just do. not. fit.

Anyhow, I am already sick of baby carrots. I am also learning that I was totally kidding myself about not snacking all that much, 'cause I just do. I went out today and bought some yellow and orange bell peppers---for you veggie-dislikers, raw bell peppers in these colors, while more expensive, are also sweet and juicy.

My goals are to get to the gym at least 4 times this week, and to make it through the week in my point range.

WTG on the shorts.

I enjoy pretty much all veggies. Raw or cooked they make a great snack. One thing I picked up at the grocery store is Green Giant Steam packs. They are in the frozen section. They are microwaveable and pretty tasty. They come out nice and crisp instead of mushy like canned veggies do.

First off, congrats Colleen!!! I only go by how my clothes fit/feel so that's a big WINNER WINNER chicken dinner in my book

As for as veggies go, I like them more if they're roasted. Anything with a little olive oil and some salt/pepper in the oven for a bit tastes good. I even (and I haven't tried them since childhood) ate [and liked] brussel sprouts prepared that way. Eeeks!

Congrats on officially joining the fight, Diane! You may want to look into making shakes/smoothies to help with curbing the snacksters.

Congrats on the re-start. I re-started last week because I was not having any success using the free tracking sites. I figure I lost the orginal 40 lbs I wanted to loose 2 years ago using WW so I should be able to loose the 15 I regained on it.

I agree with the Bell Peppers. Oh my goodness they are so good. I have a horrible time when I make spaghetti sauce. I have to buy double the peppers because I munch on them raw while I am cooking.

Sorry to hear that a few of us are still not seeing the scale move. You can add me to that list 135 and holding. *sigh* I was good all week with my points. I stayed within them, but I still have an issue with water. Monday - Friday while at work I had at least 8 cups. Saturday and Sunday I think maybe I managed 3 a day. That is my worst problem I think. I really need to put more effort in to that.

Goals for this week:
Track all my food and stay with in my points.
Water 6-8 cups everday including the weekend.
Run or walk everyday.
Abs Tape - take it out of the wrapper and actually use it.
