Hi, all--

I hope you don't mind a weight loss newbie starting this thread. I've decided to join you!

Shortish term weight loss goal: 13 pounds
Loooong term weight loss goal: 33 pounds
Secret weight loss goal: 53 pounds

This week's challenge for me: drink more water. I tend only to drink at meals, so I need to bump that up during the day.

Good luck to all this week!

Hi Prae Good luck with your goals!

I put in a little extra effort this weekend, and decided to weigh in again this morning (I normally do on Fridays).
Down 1.4 over the weekend, so provided I can hold on to it, I've broken through the plateau... for now.

I forget if I've stated my goals before, or not...
short term: 20lbs
long term:60lbs
Hey, all.
I lost 2 lbs, but the are the 2 that I gained last week. So I am officially down 2 for the month or so we have been reporting.
Looking forward to a solid week of training and eating!
Make it a great day!
Another week.

I'm too scared to step on the scale. Things are fitting better but that doesn't mean the number on the scale is going to reflect that.

So this week, I'll stick with food as fuel, not entertainment. And, I'm going to get back into regularly - routinely exercising.
Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind my joining you. Since I started running (June), I've lost 10 pounds.

My short term goal is 5lbs by the end of Nov.
My longer term goal is another 10lbs by Jan1st (if I can hold off over the holidays)
My ultimate goal is to lose 30 more lbs.

Today... I've had a yogurt, an apple, a few (less than 10) grapes, 1 bottle of water (so far - working on the second one), and a tiny box of raisins. Okay... I also had a bite size, Mr. Goodbar from one of the ladies on another floor of my office. I didn't get to run this a.m. like I normally would, because it was raining so hard. Hopefully, I'll be able to get in 3 miles tonight.
OK, I am down 4 overall, but it's not exactly where I want to be. I have been doing better with portion control, so this week is...

HYDRATION!!!!
I think I am dropping out and giving up. Being accountable hasn't helped me at all. Bleh.

Maybe I just need to put that pic of Jillian on my fridge! That would be motivating!
Dude!

I'm not 30 yet (will be in March). Can I join you guys, or do I have to wait?

My short term goal is to get to 180. I'm at 188 according to my scale, and 191 according to my WW scale. (I can't believe I'm telling someone this number)

My long term goal is to get to about 150-155, which shouold put me in the right area body fat wise.

I just started going to Weight Watcher meetings, so I'm hoping that this extra accountability will help me stick with it. I lost a bunch of weight sevreal years ago, but it leveled off and I got complacent. Right now I need to focus on eating right since I'm not able to do much exercise.
Wyrillco, 30s is a state of mind around here, welcome!

Oooo...you and I are also around the same weight with similar goals, so even more welcome from me!

However, this is T-5 days for the wedding I was hoping to lose 10 lbs for...not a lb missing on this girl! Oh well, I'm going to have a blast nonetheless. But I need to do something to up the accountability - I'm with you, Theia, this isn't motivating me to stay the course.

Maybe if you guys could berate me, or make me feel guilty? That usually does the trick...

At least my running is up to 20+ miles, so if I don't increase my food intake while my mileage is up, I at least won't be at risk of gaining more than the necessary gains from two weddings in two days...
No loss for me since we started doing these threads. I have done better with hydration, but that only seems to work when I am at work and have the bottle of water at arms reach at all times. Last week I started my vacation and I know I have not been drinking enough water.

I think tomorrow morning I might re-join WW online and try to make it work for me again.
Didnt hit the scale ( or the board much ) yesterday.

Weighed in this morning and I lost half a pound. Kinda surprised. Didnt overeat or anything but had my nephews birthday party Sunday night and thats not always too good for someone trying to shed some pounds

Welcome to the new folks, oh and Theia you cant quit.
Umm....I've held onto it.

And then some.

Just keep swimming...just keep swimming...
Excellent job, HH! I've finally started to see a drop in the numbers after 3 months of running. I hope this downward spiral continues!

Fort hose of you for whom this is not working. . .anything we can do to provide support, public shaming, or anything else to help you?
Congrats to you too, Prae!

So the final tally since last Friday...
-5 lbs
Woohoo HH! Evidently that plateau was en route to a major downhill!
Ok I rejoined WW online today since it is payday. I can't do meetings because of my work schedule so I do it all online. I am going to give myself until Monday to not worry about the points, but I am starting fresh on Monday morning. I think this time around instead of counting a day as when I wake up to when I go to bed, I will do it as a regular calender day. That might help with the extra hunger I have the day after a long run. Wish me luck everyone. I really want to loose the 15lbs I have re-gained since I originally hit my goal in March of 2006..
HH - congrats on getting past the plateau. WTG
Good luck, Kini. I know you can do it!!
