Hi all. I just figured I would help us start the New Year off with a new weeks thread.

I am still at 140. No loss, but no gain either. Last week with the holiday and being sick was tough. I drank tons of tea with loads of sugar in it and did not eat all that well.

So I am determined to start this year off with a great week of eating, running, and being healthy.

I made it through the holidays pretty well ...didn't go TOO crazy with food and drink but wasn't the best either. I've been reading about some changes I'd like to make and started putting the plan into action today. More to come but it's moving me closer towards a pescatarian diet and away from many of my beloved dairy friends. I'm hoping it'll be the break-through I need.

I know I was going to be up but I am goofing off since Christmas

I'm up to 210 exactly. So if I am here December 31st, 2008 then we can look back and see how much I have lost

I will record my measurements tomorrow morning as well. Those I will record monthly on the first day. I am tempted to stop weighing save for every 2 weeks instead of each week.

Oh, I'm up....will weigh in tomorrow but there is no way that I cannot be up after the week of vacation (back home) that I just had. Made good choices every day but also made bad ones (e.g. started off great and then not so much....). Today is a new day, a new training plan and renewed focus!

I lost three pounds this week with a half-hearted effort at healthy eating. Total damage from the holidays was 17.5 pounds. The real hard-core eating changes are now in effect for 2008. 31.5 pounds to go by Boston (April 21st).

All right. I don't like making NY resolutions for weight, but it is handy that I've officially lost all 10 pounds I was hoping to lose between Thanksgiving and Christmas (so, it took until New Year's Day...). I don't know how I weighed in where I did, considering all the cheese fondue I had last night, but I'll take it.

So, I now have a goal to lose 1lb a week. Until I'm done, whenever that is. Probably in about 5 months. This is weight I KNOW I can lose, because it's just the pounds that will get me to the low end of the "overweight" qualification.

Fortunately, boyfriend has also decided to renew his weight loss plans, so we'll be better support to each other.

Wherever you ended up over the holidays...I hope we're all landing on a happy weight in 2008!

I have been sitting at my desk debating on what to put for my goal. Here it is......135 by Dec 31 2008. That is realistic, now just to get it going. Exercise is good, I need to keep a food journal to see where the wheels fall off the bus.

Hi all,
I weighed in this morning. Down from last week, up a little bit from the holidays overall. Could be worse!

My husband has been trying to eat better recently as well, so that is really helping me. I have beef stew in the crockpot for tonight. Being prepared is half the battle for me.
