I haven't started one of these in a while so here goes....

This morning at an even 210. One day to go until weigh in time. I am hoping to lose at least 0.1 to get it under 210. That would make two weeks in a row under 210 which would be a psychological win for me. Last week I was 208 with change. I had a good weekend. I'm doing much better with my water consumption away from work (where it's free)- specifically weekends. Also I really only goofed once and that was yesterday. I went to the movies and got a medium (pretty good sized) popcorn even though I wasn't hungry and it was right after lunch. Just a habit of munching during a movie (and an expensive one as well).

This week's goal is to win the war at lunch. Several days a week I am beat down in the morning and want to hit a restaurant to chill for an hour on my lunch. Well that's expensive and it's fattening. This week I hope to just come home and eat a sandwich or something. We will see.

Good luck to you all.

Hey, guys--

I don't pop in here much, but I wanted to share some great news. When I started graduate school, I weighed a lot but didn't think too much about it. The first semester I gained 'freshman fifteen' and as I was reaching the top of that 15, I said to myself, "If I get to XXX pounds, I'll kill myself." Well, I've been above my 'suicide weight' for over 5 years now and the weight kept climbing. Since the new year, I've lost about 10-13 pounds, and on Saturday, I hit that magic number! I'm up a little today, which is fine, but it was so shocking to see that number again after 5 years. I really want to leave graduate school the same weight at which I started. I don't know if that's possible (13 pounds in 2 months), but if I can get under that terrible number, I'll be a very happy camper.

I'm really glad that you're all here encouraging each other. I'll try to become more of a regular.

Okay - just because it's been rotten and sometimes you have really rotten days - let me confess my day to you and then I can begin again:

B - raspberries, yogurt, Grape Nuts, Fiber One.

L - (Here's where it starts) Michelina's Mac & Cheese, plain M&Ms, Java Twix, Starburst. I am not talking little ones - I am talking full one size servings. Yes, THREE candy bars.

S - (And, here's where we keep going) Soft batch chocolate chip cookies, Nutter Butter cookies AND Pringles.

Um, wow. I haven't binged like that in a single day in several years.

Tonight is salad for supper. I will be doing better now.

Don't feel bad Mary. I went to the Mexican place at lunch and ate enough for 3 meals. All this after my post just this morning.

Doing great Prae!

Mary, uh, I use to (and still do unfortunately) binge like that. I could eat sugar all day long. I have a problem.

Prae that is awesome!!! With all the pressure grad school puts on you, a gain is understandable. But then to make that turn around, you should be flying high! Congrats!

And congrats to everyone else posting a loss and good vibes to those needing the extra strength!

I love it. And congrats!

Mary, don't beat yourself up. Just make healthier choices for the next few days, and you'll be fine. Promise.

Way to go, Prae!!!! And good job Maples!

I'm still holding steady, but I'll weigh myself again Thursday or Friday to get a clearer reading since my eating/working out was so wacky this weekend.

Yeah, Nettie! (Though if you were on the Biggest Loser, you would be crying because you "just hope it will be enough".) Congratulations!
