Well maybe I shouldn't have had that big supper last night to celebrate my Sunday run...... I'm up 2.8 to 209.4. I'm trying to make a positive out of it (and not get down hah) in that I used to be in flux between 215-220 and now the range seems to be from 206-209 for the last few weeks. That's still progress and it encourages me to really do better this week.

Good luck to you all this week.

Maples You're doing great - keep up the good work! If all else fails, recall where you were this time last year or 6 months ago, etc. That sometimes works for me.

My goal (and I have to keep telling myself this) is not to gain any weight during the holidays. If I lose, great, if not that's ok, too.

That's a good one, it's mine as well!

Over dinner with some friends last night I was discussing my nutrionist/trainer need a bit more as well as up'ing my weights days. I'm going to keep my regular days and follow the Crossfit program for a couple extra days each week. I think it'll aid me in breaking through to another level of body fat %

That sounds like a healthy perspective, Maples, good for you! My doc told me that a 1-2% variation in weight is a day-to-day normal, especially with highly active people who don't pay close attention to hydration.... Maybe that could be part of it?

I'm down 2 from last week so now at 203. Still 4 more dissertation pounds to go before I'm back to where I was in September...I'll just keep trucking. I failed miserably on the water this weekend but did ok during the week. Now I've got my phone set to alarm me every 2 hours to drink; we'll see how that goes.

Have a good week everyone!

I was way too scared to step on the scale this morning. Just feeling blah and bleh, so no scale for me.

So, a week with no cardio and weights has left me very stir crazy!! I went to the gym last night and my legs surely felt that time off...and not in a good way. Very tiring workout.

A friend and I have decided to become weight loss buddies starting 1/1/08. Working to lose a lb a week for 4/15. If we meet our goals, we go to the spa. I love the spa! I might even buy myself some lucky jeans

Well I am up 3 more pounds. I am going to have to stop taking vacations because I gain weight and then can't manage to drop the pounds. I know water was a big part of my problem (so what else is new) but I though all the extra walking would at least balance out. I guess not. I also could not track while on vacation due to spotty internet connection.

So I am now at 140 with a goal of 120 at 5'6" in height.

I am 5'6" also, my goal is 135, medium frame. Of course this is the Dr's goal for me, I as I have stated previously think he is on crack. I can't remember every weighing 135

Yep the very low end and the lowest my DR will let me set the goal. I am a small boned person. I actually weighed less then 100 pounds at 5'6" until I hit about 25. I ate everything in sight. Then age and meds slowed my metabolism and I kept eating everything. *sigh* I gained a lot and it took me a year to get back down to 120. Now 2 years after I lost 40 pounds I am up by half what I lost. again. To be honest the number is not as important as how I look and feel. If I feel great and look better at 125 or 130 I will be fine with that. I just need the numbers to give me small goals to shoot for.

Well I finaly got on the scale. That and and I went back and looked at last weeks results for me just now.

I am down 5.5 lbs. I was at 207 last week, I am at 201.5 this week. Its not surprising at all seeing as how I had my surgery last week and really havent been eating a whole lot. I cant seem to eat any meat ( it hurts too much ) so my choices are pretty limited. We shall see how it goes the rest of the week. Maybe Ill be under 200 by Tuesday

I started the week still @ 136, but I saw 134.7 this morning. Talked things over with my nutritionist, and she still thinks I'm not eating enough (or close enough to my target) on the days when I run. Totally under by 100 or so calories today, too. It's tough math, getting the right ratios of carbs to fat to protein. Oy.

We're also rearranging how I eat things, ie - eating the bulk of my carbs pre and post workout, and focusing on protein and veggies the remainder of the day.

Experiment of One. My new motto.

Man, I have really been sucking this week. The coffee, the donuts, the boozing. This month needs to end already.

Today is my monthly measurement day. I will switch it to the 1st on January. Anyway, good news all around. Thankfully and logically (I hope) with weight loss, running and cross training should come some toning and firming....

Since last month:

Neck - lost 1/2 inch
Chest - lost 1/2 inch
Waist (belt-line) - lost 1/2 inch
Waist (across belly button) - lost 1 inch
Thigh - lost 1.25 inches (surprise there)
Calf - lost 1/2 inch (another surprise)

Of course I am focusing on the waistline. I am happy to say that in the 2 months that I have been measuring that:

Waistline-belt-line- lost 2 inches
Waistline-stomach (across belly button) - lost 2.75 inches!

That's really critical for me. I am starting to see the love handles disappear altogether and I might even see an outline of some abs where just an old belly used to be.

Thanks for letting me share. These good figures are motivation, for sure, to keep going.

Maples that is absolutely fan-tab-ulous!!!!! Good for you!!!!!!

I'm done 1.6 from last week (wed is weigh in day) but was up 1 lb this morning -chalk that up to the peanut butter balls, chocolate, etc. Still, I'm happy that even though I gave it to some temptations I made good choices w/ the rest of my day. Translation: for the 1st time, ever, I think, I'm not letting this get me down. The 1 lb will come back off.

I'm 5'6", too. Lowest recent weight was 148 and I was wearing a size 8/10. I think if I went down to 135 I'd be too skinny (not that I wouldn't try it for a while).

Has anyone tried or know of anyone that's tried the Power90 program? I just saw the infomerical again and the results look amazing (yea, not typical, I know). I've been looking for a new exercise routine to add to the running / pilates and I like the idea of lean and muscular (but not bulky). Since I started running 2 years ago I have not lost (w/ the exception of the last 5 weeks of following WW) any weight nor have I gone down any clothing sizes.

Excellent Maples!!

I got on the scale this morning, despite the super yummy burger and fries for dinner last night, and it was actually down a little. So I'm not complaining!

Man, that was a good burger, too. I almost never eat burgers, but last night it was all that sounded good.

Sara, my brother is doing the P90 thing. I'll ask him how it's going. I have a harder time losing when I'm active (which makes no sense). But I did notice that while I'm about 10 lbs higher right now than I was at my lowest weight after losing 80 lbs on WW a few years ago, I'm the same size as I was then (finally!!). So I think I'm changing my body comp. I am back in a 14 now, and I'm 10 lbs heavier than last time. And it's not just new versions of size 14s, but the ones I fit in a couple years ago as well.

But I know I must start a weight routine. It will make a huge difference. My brother says the routines in this P90 plan are hard.
