<p>Not fun: Filling out the Clinic online application, where I had to re-type basically my whole darn resume, authorize all kinds of background & credit checks (wtf? It's a creative job!!!), and then take an hour long test consisting of questions like this:</p>

<p>There was also a section where there was a window on the left side of the screen with math/logic problems, which you had @ 45 sec to answer, and at the same time you're supposed to read & respond to emails which pop up in another window on the right, which are locked if you don't read them within 15 seconds. Some are just stupid info, but every so often one would require a response, but the email containing the info to answer was locked  by the time the question came up.</p>

<p>Fun:  I started the process of making <a href="http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/free-range-fruitcake-recipe/index.html" target="_blank">Alton Brown's Free-Range Fruitcake</a>.  The dried fruits (minus the currants which I couldn't find so I just added more of the other stuff) are currently soaking in the rum, and I'll do the rest later this evening.  I remember Voo saying he'd made it several times and it was very good.  I hope so.  I don't like the fruitcake with the crazy neon weirdo fruits in it, but I had a sample of some fruitcake at a local store a few years ago that used dried fruit instead of candied fruit, and I liked it.  My mom, OTOH, had threatened me with bodily harm if I bring fruitcake into her house.   <span><img alt="lol.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/lol.gif"> </span></p>

1) After reading the recipe, I wonder if I could make a version of that that I could eat. Hmmm.</p>

<p>2) In college I sewed costumes for the Theater Dept Costume Shop. Every year for Christmas, the Costume Designer would give each of us a loaf of home made fruitcake. The first year I was skeptical. <img alt="disgust.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/disgust.gif">  Because the only fruitcake I knew was the yucky candied fruit stuff that sat around for<em>ever.</em> This stuff though.... DEEEEElicious!!! Margaret would never share her recipe, but I know it involved sitting in rum for 3 or 4 months.</p>

<p><span>Woke up around 8 when my upstairs neighbors txted me to see what I was doing this morning. Um...sleeping?  hehe.</span></p>

<p><span>Went to hang out with my sis at the craft fair she did today, and bought a couple of nice gifts.</span></p>

<p><span>Going to see a female version of the Odd Couple tonight. Hmmmm.</span>  Probably going to meet up with some friends after for a drink.</p>

<p>Seriously, today WAS AMAZING!  It was 42 degrees, 20 mph  winds and raining.  Did my girls rock?  Yup!  As did HUNDREDS of other girls and their families.  Seriously, I did not jear one complait!  They were fired up and ready to rock the house (which we did)!  WOOOT!  I LOVE MY GIRLS!!  And my incredible boys who of course joined us!</p>

<p>G'morning all - had absolutely no time to check the threads yesterday.  My nieces had their birthday shindig (they turned 18 and 16 respectively - how'd the hell did they get so old - they were but toddlers not too long ago, right? <span><img alt="dontknow.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/dontknow.gif"></span>)  Then everyone migrated to my parents' house to watch what pretty much is a tradition in most Filipino families these days - watching Manny Pacquiao in the boxing ring.</p>

<p>This morning I get to give my newly arrived aunt a tour of San Francisco, so that will be most of the daylight hours today.  Hopefully I can sneak in a run somehow and any other stuff I wanted to do later today.<br></p>
