Good morning Jill and those to follow!
I hope you and Heather had a great run

I need to do 2 or 3 miles at some point today for a recovery run. It will probably have to be on the treadmill.

Have a great day!

Morning All,

Planning on something easy again today, around 5 or so. I'll get back into the double digits tomorrow. I think that we are also playing tennis with some neighbors this afternoon if the weather holds.

Who's racing this weekend? Good Luck!

Take care of that thing and don't let it get to the big-daddy-of-em-all stage like the head cold I had last week. I was wiped out for 4 days and am still phlegm-ing, etc.
Airborne.
That.sounds.great!
You are one brave sole my friend!

I'm going to shoot for 12M today - 12 degrees and breezy...jeesh. The Nor'easter is hitting us at midnight tonight so we'll be in lockdown tomorrow.

By the way, we have some 30's posting POTD reports in the PRT if interested. (me included). I haven't been around in a few days - hope all is well.
Good fitness all!
Cheers

I totally planned to do that run this year---every year, I tell myself that, since I am allegedly a member of the running club that puts it on, I should run it.

And every year I have some injury, conflict, or something that keeps me from it.

Technically, I think I could run 5K, even though my return to running has been spotty at best, but we have a family commitment tomorrow.

I WILL go to the am Spin class, though. I will. I swear.

good morning.

I will be abstaining from exercise today. my body(my own doing) has reached the pinnacle of exhaustion and strain. I will be abstaining from all things deemed fun and enjoyable for the remainder of the weekend I believe...

I've already broken my no fun rule for the day...

That stunk. I never had this happen before really, at least not on a long run at easy aerobic effort -- blood sugar when I finished had skyrocketed to 280 mg/dl, way out of range. I know all my insulins were good from the overnight testing -- maybe the fact that it was in the upper 20's my body reacted by releasing more glucose wanting to stay warm? I don't know, though it helps explain why on the second time out-and-back I began slowing down horribly.

10.2 miles today. Damn it.

Winter! Say hi to Eric Perrin for me! He's my boy! I had fun meeting him on the meet and greet night pre-season and speaking French with him. He seemed surprised! Oh, and you probably will win. I'm going to see your team on Thursday!

OK, still no running for me. It's awful. Schedule is just wierd and I've been in a strange place lately. I really want to get back to running, though. I think the hardest part is going for the first run again. It will happen. Probably on a day when I don't have a party, errands, date, tutoring, work, cleaning, family stuff, etc!

Wanted to say "good luck" (though it's probably done now...) to Ailarie and Radioyada at the Jingle Jog this year!

Have great runs and races this week peeps! Stay warm!

The 30s thread always helps in the strangest of ways...my craptastic tiredness from yesterday turned into a bit of a sore throat this morning. 2oh's comment about Airborne reminded me I have a bazillion samples of it sitting within arm's reach! So maybe I will get out and about to exercise sometime today!

Great news...I ran last night! The chiro gave me permission to start up - just for a few minutes at a stretch, but running's running!

I took a 4.5 hour nap yesterday afternoon, had no appetite and no motivation to exercise. I finally got to the gym at 8pm and spent 40 minutes on a recumbent bike. Before I left, I got a sudden surge of "hey, I could do a little running right now!" So I did about 1 mile of running total, mixing in walking every .30 or so.

It was nice!

So, today is either the elliptical or a nice long walk.

Good luck to Radio and Ailarie!

Moe if you make it to your 5k tomorrow in the weather we're getting, I will be super impressed!

Have fun with your long runs and short runs and all the exercising in between!
