There.. title / date snafu fixed :)

I hope each of you made it through Black Friday without being shoved, punched, elbowed or pepper sprayed! Jeesh, people are nuts! I ended up going to Home Depot & Wal-Mart briefly around noon, and both places were very quiet. Whew.

Yesterday's massage therapy helped out immensely, though in one way, my quads are even more sore. Ahh well... such is the price! :) Plans today are simple. Maybe work on cutting down more brush / limbs from the back yard, watch the GA Tech vs UGA ballgame, & then have a late lunch w/ my mom & stepdad. Too bad all days cannot be as simple.

Hope you guys all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

Good morning!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Lots of good running around here lately! Go everyone!!

I, reluctantly, had to go to the mall yesterday. I had to get some new jeans and Old Navy had too good of a deal to pass up. I did wait until 7 last night to go, so it wasn't too bad.

In other news, we put an offer on a house yesterday. Fingers crossed!

In running news, I have been running a bit and am hoping to pick up the training pace a bit. I did register for 2 spring half marathons, so I have that to look forward to.

Wish I was around a bit more! Miss you guys!

Good morning, gals. Nice job registering for the HMs, Bex.

Anybody racing this weekend? If so, good luck!

No Black Friday shoppig for me yesterday. The only time I left my property was to take the kiddo to Wendy's for dinner. That was crowded enough...

I ran 15.5 miles this morning. That's the farthest I've gone since the martahon in Utah, more than two months ago. I guess I felt okay. My legs are a little stiff, but I guess that's to be expected. I'll need a few more run this long (or longer) before the marathon in January...

Awesome fun!

My only black friday purchase was a leaf blower (not on sale, but a good price) and a bottle of PH down for the spa. Wheeee!

I just got to work, we play Oregon State today. Shouldn't be a very close game if all goes to plan.

Bought a total of crackers and tummy stuff yesterday. Not exactly Black Friday items. :)

Got up today and walked on the TM for a bit and folded laundry, but wow...it's a very strange thing to go from 'gogogogogogo' to 'bam' and that less than one mile walking is exhausting. I'm not used to being on the DL list for sure. Watched "Forks over Knives" for a bit and now on to grading papers before I watch my Big Red Badgers beat Penn State, which no offense to Penn State, but we'd better.

Love the photos Bob and 15.5! YAY!

Isn't Tim running a full marathon? Or is he just watching?

Hah! i got a blower as well. (tired of pine straw piling up on my driveway!) Though I didn't dare go to the stores for it. A few clicks and I was done. Same with a new vacuum cleaner (sale) since my el cheapo 2 year model smells like horribly nasty wet dog every time i use it (despite cleaning all filters) :)

Cranie - hang in there, chica. The DL is the suck, no doubt, but you are on a good road.

I am not amused at the GA Tech / UGA ballgame. Granted, I figured UGA would win. After all, they play in a more competitive/ higher class, but still.. it would be NICE if tech didn't keep giving the opponent the ball via interceptions! :)

Hey everyone!

Cute photos!

Good luck Bex. And nice to see you.

Can't believe Tim ran a marathon this weekend - just days after a 5K PR. And isn't he running Houston in January too? Machine.

I slacked off yesterday. I actually got completely sucked into my Mom's ancestry.com account and was looking up fam. Spent several hours today too. But I did get my butt out for a little over 10 miles. It was 50 degrees, raining, and actually pretty awesome.

Now I am watching the Noles whoop up on Florida.

Yes, full marathon today...for a training run. Very difficult conditions. Hot Humid and very very windy....like Thumb of God Winds! I was on about 3:32 pace for about 17 miles. Then, I just had to back it down. I did do my good samaritan deed and stoped and helped a guy who was about to pass out. I thought he was hit the ground hard, so I walk with him in case he started to go down. I got him to a course worker and they took over. I finished 3:48:31 for 12th OA. Glad to have that done.

It's been a busy couple of days here, but we're making progress on some house projects, shopping, and taking some time out for fun with kiddos. Tonight we went on a Christmas lights tour with my folks and some of their friends. Tomorrow we're hoping to get to a movie and maybe the indoor pool at the gym.

Glad to see some good race and run reports. I'm hoping to get out for a few miles early in the morning. My workouts on Wednesday were fine until I was in the car for two hours on Thursday. Redonkulous calf cramping that didn't improve until late the next day. I'm pretty tired of being fragile.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Wow- great job Tim- especially for a training run! So last week the kiddos both had a stomach bug and this week is ear infections. The fun never ends. I did venture into Toys R Us briefly on Friday afternoon- it wasn't too bad in there and the checkout line only took 10 minutes even though it looked massive. I'm pretty much done with gifts for the kids- they are too young to know anyway.

Craney-how are you feeling? Hugs! Kathaknitoleenie- LOVE the cowl you posted. You are one talented chica.

I don't think 95 yards of total offense counts as "whooping up". That was just two terrible teams, one of which was slightly worse than the other.

Hee hee hee. Yeah, we had no offense whatsoever. Thank goodness for our defensive plays. A lot of Gators got seriously hurt - I always hate seeing that. But I'll still call is a whooping. Cause I can.

So the Ducks kicked booty, but honestly, they should have.

Been quiet here for me. I read, but sometimes don't post. Mostly just tired of being on the crutches and putting my running life on perma-pause.

Hi all - I hope you all had great Thanksgivings.

Kris and I just got back late last night from her parents' place in Northern Ohio, where we spent a few days hanging out with her family and watching a lot of football, and a class reunion of hers early Saturday evening. Hard to believe that this will be the last "temporary" trip.

Not much in the way of surprises this college football weekend. I guess the only thing that could really throw a wrench into things is if somehow Georgia upset LSU in the SEC championship game and in convincing fashion no less. Don't think that will happen tho'

Becca - good luck on the house offer!

Tim - awesome job on your training run/marathon

Continued hugs to you (((((Craney))))))

boB - great pics! Looks like Jillian is having a load of fun. Speaking of which, if you're ever up in Northern Ohio, we discovered that you have at least one parking spot reserved for you

Helllooo all! Got back from STL yesterday midday and was trying to unpack and put some stuffs away / organize for the rest of the day + I was pretty tired from waking up super early for the flight back. Anyways, no run yesterday but I'm about to get out for one today --- gorgeous out!!

Nice work Tim, even in tough conditions.

I'm starting to look around for 2012 races, thinking I'd like to run Root's 50K again and maybe tackle a 50 miler; anyone know of a good one on the East Coast or Midwest?

Nice sign, Moon! Tell Bard to check in on that spot periodically to make sure nobody's taking my space!

Nice work with the marathon, Tim. How many is that for you now? 21 or 22?

RIL, I don't think I'd give too much credit to either defense in the game last night. The offenses were both terrible. It's almost a shame that the Gators are qualified for a bowl game, because it means I'll have to watch this dreck one more time before the year is mercifully over...

Maria, I was thinking about doing another 50k in 2012. But I don't think I'm ready to think about a 50 miler. Heck, I've even thought about doing the one in CT again. Yeah, that wouldn't give me a new state. But I liked the race despite the miserable weather last year. I'd like to see how I could do on that course on a decent day. (No gaurantee of a decent day, of course. But I don't think it could be any worse). Anyway, let me know what you decide to do...

You should do Root's race too! It's a sweet course and not too technical for being all trails, it's on 4/1 next year. http://www.fools50k.blogspot.com/ Besides, ultras are meant for off-road

Nice work Tim!

We did Thanksgiving yesterday with my ILs at the lake. Stopped in to see Oskar, since he is on the way. Fuzzy little guy. heh. He has grown a lot. Or maybe he's just way more fuzzy. Or both. Anyway, we had fun both there and at the lake, got home LATE, and having a slow day today. Tonight we go see Jeff Dunham with FIL and his wife.
