I got in 9 miles (give or take) and I made really good time, on a hilly out-and-back route no less. There was a new guy running with our group today, and it turned out he planned to run at my usual pace. We ended up going out a bit fast for us both (10:15 average for the 1st 2 miles, which isn't far off from my 5K pace in those races). I slowed down a little bit after he turned around (he was only doing 7), but I know my last mile was still in the 10 minute range. This is good for me. If I can hold strong like this through training, I should PR at either Athens or Madison.
