Weekend Man/Woman Report

<p>Friday - friends came over to help dig out our back flower bed.  The wife wants to start from scratch and I want to put a wall in.  Killed a bottle of wine with them and smoked a Cuban by the fire.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sat - Went out for a late lunch with the DW and DD.  We decided to head to a trendy part of the city to walk the avenue and have a coffee and ice cream.  We were half way there when the wife had a full blown anaphylactic reaction to something she ate.  She has never been allergic to anything before.  Lucky we were a couple of blocks from a medical centre and I just about had to carry her in.  We were admitted immediately and she was pumped full of Benedryl.  She came out worse for wear but at least she was breathing.  I'd hate to think what might have happened if we weren't as close to help as we were.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sun - Took DD to ringette practise, then to a birthday party.  Picked up an epi-pen for DW (whom spent the day in bed).  Raked leaves.  Oiled the patio furniture and stored it for the winter.</p>

<p>Fri. - clean house, fix water pressure tank, few beers</p>
<p>Sat. - errands, more house cleaning, Nickelback concert w/gf</p>
<p>Sun. - sleep in, work on repairing broken hinge on gf's laptop, watch some football, patch hole in house trim created by feisty woodpecker</p>

<p>Friday - I can't remember what I did. nothing exciting.</p>

<p>Saturday - core work, ran, painted kitchen trim, ran some errands, had a nap, went to the Hillsdale Fair to see... crap, what's his name? Josh Turner? Some country guy. I went mostly to put in face time with the ILs and to people watch, but the concert was actually pretty good. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sunday - core stuff, butt tape, ran...... and then did nothing till 5pm when I realized we didn't have any dog food, so had a panic run to the pet store before they closed. After dinner finished knitting the 1st sleeve of a cabled sweater I'm designing. </p>

<p>eta: Torque, that's scary about your wife! Does she know what she ate that caused the reaction?</p>

<p>This was a test, right,  we had to read before posting, right?  Have her carry the epi-pen with her everywhere.  I am not joking.</p>

<br><br><p> No she doesn't.  We ate at a Vietnamese restaurant that we've been going to for years.  She ate the same dish she has eated dozens of times.  She's contacting her Dr to get a referral to an allergist.</p>

<p>Friday - rode the stationary bike, worked and general laziness after work. Nothing exciting.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Saturday - ran and then went shopping with my best buddy. Exciting shopping like Camping World and Harbour Freight Tools. Had lunch at Flying Pie Pizza, best pizza joint in Boise. YUM! Watched BSU pulverize NMSU and also watched Oregon stomp Stanford.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sunday - leg strength and abs and did laundry and watched a movie. We got a "gully washer" of a rain storm. It was pretty cool.</p>

<p>I was fishing in the Cariboo all weekend.  My time was spent eating unhealthy food, drinking good beer and bourbon, fishing, sitting around a fire, bullshitting and driving home. </p>

<p>Friday NIght:  Helped Coach DS's soccer team during practice, came home, had 1 beer, went to bed.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Saturday:  Ran a race, took daughter to her soccer pictures then her game.  Then came home drank beers watched football on tv.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Sunday:  did chores around the house, drank beer, read my book, listened to the Jags pull out a win on the radio.</p>

<p>Cool thread. Ummm, where can I get a woman? (epi-pen auto injectors are supposed to be for one time use, but if you know how to disassemble one you will see that only about 1/4 of the epinephrine was used in the first injection and you can manually inject about 3 more doses. Handy to know in life threatening situations)</p>
