Ok, so it's past midnight and I thought I'd start the new weekend thread...

how the hell do I call up those posts that I wanted to multi-quote???

#$*@#*&!!!

this is what i have - it's an all inclusive post from what i remember from y'day & today:

brandy's ball workout? you go girl.

vidalia, you see him here everyday and we all miss him, even if we (me) never met him in the flesh. btw, welcome & stick around. every now & then there's some helpful information to be had

boB, me too man. i just don't take me too seriously.

(what happened to the smileys we used to have?)

missy, you still kick some serious bootay.

how's kj doing these days? she's a few months in now too, right?

T - i think about your 3-day walk also.

duck, you hooked on relays?

where's ptom?

and i lost my post from early today. i tried from my bberry but the little fugger didn't want to post what i had picked & pecked. yep, that's frustrating.

re: shirtless lobstering. well, since i'm the captain, the captain makes the rules. if the captain goes shirtless, guess what the crew does??? K&M, you're welcome anytime you want to come. please please pleease

and yes, today was a partial sans-chemise trap-pulling day. it must have been 15* cooler on the water than it was inland. wow, what a relief! and, no ~uncomfortableness~ at all - that drive-by cougar-wannabe had baaaaaad intentions.

remember.........................i'm a good boy.

0 miles today. i managed only 5 beers, a huge ass bacon-blue cheesburger and 3 ass-kicking margaritas (can you tell?). does that make up for the nil miles? all the while, we managed to harvest 5 atlantic bugs and I can't wait to cook & eat 'em when dw gets back from yet another girls weekend. sheesh - a trip to Paris wasn't enough?

okay, so i have an earwig crawling in my water bottle as i sit and type. it looks like it's plant water now. damn.

good exercising to you all this weekend. let it all hang out!

cheers

2oh- you're living the good life! And it all sounds awesome.

Alright, I moved all that Info Spot stuff over to our new wiki - http://www.kickrunners.com/wiki/30s-club-info-spot

The deal with the wiki is that all of us can go into it and add and/or edit. So, we can all go in and enter our own races. duck already figured that one out.

I think the main thing that is missing is that little write-up we use to have as a welcome message. However, once beaker gets in here, she can create a forum note at the top of our forum and add that there as well as a link to our wiki for easy reference.

I'm heading out for a run in a bit and then I'll be at the running club's Kids Race all morning, volunteering my time to put on a race just for kids. (I've been doing this every other weekend since May.) Lots of fun. Will try to take a pic or two today if I remember.

Have a great morning!

Morning gang-

Dan - sometimes drinking beer is more necessary than running. Margaritas too.

I got 7 miles with some tempo mile repeats done at the lake early this morning. Now I'm relaxing with the puppy and reading The Help, which I can tell already I'm gonna love. Beer and margaritas a la 2oh when our company gets here at noon.

Enjoy the weekend all!

Good Morning!

Dan, your post was just the fun I needed this morning!

Woke up feeling rather crappy so I rolled over and went back to sleep for a while, which means I missed the marathon training group long run which started at 7, which is when I got up. rats. It's currently 66 degrees and sunny out there. I need going to dig out my running mojo and get GOING. ! have a 10 mile LR this weekend and a 7m pace run. I better run long today since it's supposed to be t-storming tomorrow morning. Maybe I'll run a few miles extra today so if I have to run on the mill tomorrow I can run fewer miles. Is that allowed?

OK off to search for running duds and mojo. Happy running and fitnessing everybodeeeeeee!

BTW, I'll post few pics Afton Pics in the Running pics thread later :) 15.56 miles of fun.

Oh, and I'm getting a summer cold. Yay. Hate those, but it doesn't surprise me.

I was on vacation this past week and out of town for several days...good to get away!!

Hope you are all well!!

Dude, here too.

My run sucked giant gorilla balls. 10 miles became 3, and probably a mile of that was walk breaks. The various aches are conspiring against me, and I just don't have it today. And it's even a gorgeous, not-all-that-humid morning.

So I think I'm going to swallow another handful of tylanol and take the beastie for one of those things outside.

OK I think it's time for Steve.

or

I'm going for Cheerios.

...and so on.

I still haven't run yet. My stomach is just not good at all. I ate a PB&J which did NOT help. And I took the dog out for, um, an apron and I still feel really barfy. Annnnnd the temp has now gone up 6 degrees. feck. feck. feck. This may end up an evening run. bah.

I still haven't poked around here much. Maybe, unlike Missy, my work computer will like the new server more than the old one.

I ran 5 ridiculously bad miles this morning. Many walk breaks, which I tried to keep brief. My fabulous speed of earlier this week seems like such a fluke. Anything even below 8:30s was crap today. And I have a weird pain up and down my left leg.

I'm at that point in my weekly mileage where I am hungry all the time, too! Not quite at the point where it doesn't show if I eat all the time...

What's a vizsla??

I think that sums up my run too, although I don't think I would have phrased it quite like that.

Like many of you guys, it was really humid here. I did 15.3 very soupy miles. By the end, I think I almost as moist as I was at the South Bend Marathon. Not quite, but it was in the same ballpark. I was really dragging and slogging along for the last couple miles. I'll be very happy to relax for the rest of this day...

Hey everyone! I have been a bit MIA this week because I've been supah busy between work stuff and life stuff. Seems like it was go-go-go all day at work and then we had some social event every night. Fun, but exhausting.

The crappy news is that both DH and I have been sick lately. Remember like a month ago we all got some vicious food poisoning? Well DH and I both have had residual tummy issues since then and the last couple days have been icky. Didn't run yesterday at all b/c I woke up with sharp, severe tummy pain. DH was a mess too so he went to the DR. They just said sometimes it can take more than a month to get over it. Redonkulous I tell you.

And DH's band is playing at a wedding 3 hours away. He left and won't be back for a good 15 hours. :( So, I need to find a baby sitter so I can get out for a run before it is 90 degrees. Wish me luck with that!! :)

Here is a pic of DS from baseball game last night!

Yeech.

4.25M this morning. 75F temps (Yah!) 89% humidity. (Booo!). Got to stop a few minutes when one of the neighborhood German shephards (Tracker) came out to greet me. Actually he scared the bejezus out of me first, and then got lots of lubbins. Got to see him get the paper out of the box again.

Funny thing: He's used to the follow-up command of "Take it inside". His owner and I chatted for a few minutes, and Tracker was just antsy beyond belief, waiting to finish his job. He would come over for pettings, but would not release the paper to me. Even when his owner took it. Tracker was obsessed with the paper until he got it back and was told to take it inside.

Goofy dog. :)

+1 This is all true for me too. 15 miles in the books. Super soupy...90% humidity. I was totally soaked. Glad that's over with.

No run for me today. It was raining buckets all morning but I still went out to work/volunteer at the Kids Race. Not nearly as many kids showed up compared to our normal 350-400 kids, less than 100 today due to the rain, but we all had fun getting wet.
