Good afternoon!

We're back from Richmond. The 2nd day of games were awful and DD's team got knocked out last night. what was worse were some 2 of the moms really getting on my husband for moving their daughters positions around during the game because they were having a tough time. It did not end well. I'm just glad the season is over and we can get on with our lives!

Enjoy your beer Bob!

What kind of photo class, Litch?

Your run could not have been suckier than mine, KP. I think I need to give my back a bit more of a break.

enjoy the afternoon!

Fun: watching Jack bob for boats floating in a water toy my neighbor is selling in her garage sale. Very funny. Dog Jack was making kid-Jack and his mom Dee Dee laugh big belly laughs.

Have some errands to run, and I should make some platters or something. And I want to get the kiln loaded. And I''m volunteering for the arts council tonight. Selling beer tickets from 9-midnight (what was I thinking taking that shift?!?) at some event. Not sure where I'm supposed to go, or if I need to tear the booth down, or if I have to tear down where I'm supposed to put the stuff. The director was not responsive to my questions. Those're basic stuff, right?

I am going to find someone to invest some money in my newest idea:

Target should have a bar section, for parents who are there with their kids. It can be right next to the toy section. I am going to call it BARget. It will be a huge hit.

Just opened beer #3. It's a good afternoon so far.

Mmmmm, beer. Sounds good but I have to wait a while on that because: (1) I have some work to do; and (2) I lost 3 lbs this morning on a 6 mile run. Gah! This is despite stopping between intervals and drinking water. I think I need to do some more hydrating before I switch to the fermented stuff.

Happy weekend folks!!

 Go little guy!

2 weeks ago, while volunteering at the children's hospital, I was walking a teenager back to the rehab unit. He was in a wheelchair and pushing himself just fine. We came across a little guy about the same age as the one in the photo, using that same kind of walker. My teenager started talking to him, and then started "racing" the littler boy. He slowed way down and kept saying things like "oh no, you are catching up to me" and "I'm too tired to go any faster, you are going to beat me". The little kid just loved it. :)

Hi all. First off, great pic Ailarie!

Fun: getting a tasty Mexican iced mocha after my run.

Should be fun: trying out a red velvet and german chocolate cupcake from a bakery near the coffee place

Fun: babysitting my three nieces this afternoon.

Could be fun (or is that chaotic?): adding three nephews to that babysitting mix to boot

Off to see them now - later folks!

Stuart, Maria and I ran that race 2 weekends ago!!! It was really cool! (Well, the weather was humid and hot, but the race was cool!) They gave the disabled athletes a headstart so we ran past all of them as we went around. Every time, the crowd of runners would cheer and clap and say "good job" and stuff. It was neat. :)

Oh- and oddly, Heather Mills (formerly McCartney) who has one prosthetic leg "opened" the race with a little speech and Prince Harry was there and ran the race, too! (He started after *everybody* so we just saw him standing in the stage area as we started the race. I can now say I've seen royalty. I should have stopped and asked him about my visa.

And THIS! This is my new desktop background. I feel like a complete and total whiney-ass weak tit for complaining about my tummy this morning and not running. I may have to get out there for a few miles yet tonight.

Today's Fun: DD and I went to IKEA and bought nothing. I spent maybe $20 in gas to get there, and we shared a $3 lunch and then came home. We did put together a wish list as we walked through the store that totaled over $3000 - not including the kitchen that I liked. It was fun! Then we drove around a little sightseeing - Thank God for the GPS app - and came home. DD was thrilled with the day. Yay!

MORE Fun: 10 virtual miles on tap tomorrow with Nettie and Ailaire.

on the bus home from NYC...had a nice time, surprised Missy with an afternoon with the girls. :)

Bus is quiet EXCEPT for a really loud woman who *might* be on the phone but I can't tell, but she's on the lower deck. Strange voice, and she's talking about fishing for snails. I just caught the eye of the guy across the aisle and motioned "phone?" and he shrugged. Weird.

Great pic, Ailarie!

I'm 30 mins into this ride and I'm already ready to get off the bus. We are just in Harlem and I noticed a little store front for a place called the Cheesesteak Factory. heh.

Kath, we were talking about how much we love the bird blanket today. :)
