<p>Hello all.  Spent the day at CCSU, learning all about land use and zoning in the state of CT.  Which, beleive it or not, I do find kinda fun.  Ima dork.</p>

<p>I thought I would post just to boost our numbers.  I had a pleasant day driving the kids around.  Hockey.  Some shopping.  Not much.  It was grand.</p>

I spent the day helping payroll staff validate data. As un-fun as it sounds it was pretty interesting work. On a work day would be better <img alt="smile.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

<p>I spent the day shopping for home and chicken coop stuff.  Picked up a pancake compressor and brad nailer, then bought some tile and had it cut for the border of the wood stove pad.  Finally picked up some plastic nesting boxes and wood for the roosting "ladder" inside the coop.  Got the tile down, now I'm just letting it dry so that I can grout it before going to bed tonight. Then we can get inspected on Monday and start having some cozy fires.   Tomorrow I'll turn my eye towards the trailer-coop.  </p>

<p>I'm contemplating getting some tax help for the first time in my life.  Having a rental now and our primary residence having a timber land designation I think I might be in over my head and miss out on some key deductions if I don't get some help.  I hope I can find someone good who won't cost me more than they save us...</p>

<p>Howdy all - hung close to home for the most part; laundry, a little tidying up, chopped some hair off my noggin, and watched a little college football.  Some pretty intense thunderstorms for this area anyway (felt the house shake a little bit from a couple nearby strikes) rumbled by a couple hours ago as well.</p>

<p>Probably some shopping tomorrow - gotta' figure out what I need to grab so I can make it a productive outing.<br></p>

<p>hhhulllooo from CA and a special wave to KJ across town and moonie up north!! we survived the 6 hr plane ride - whew!! i gave allie kate a B for her performance on the plane.. it could have been a lot worse!</p>

<p>it has been so wonderful to be home with my parents and siblings' help taking care of the baby. today, i was able to go out for coffee in the morning, out to lunch with friends, take <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>TWO</strong></span> naps, go on a 1 hr trail run, and go out for dessert. allie didn't sleep well d/t the time change so my mom was like, "its too bad you didn't rest well last night" to which i replied, "more importantly, my soul is restored". it feels great to have some freedom and do normal people stuff without putting on a huge production with bringing an infant and all.</p>

<p>I've been working all weekend.  I picked up a second, minimum-wage Holiday gig at Bath and Body Works which I'm working today... split shift (going in for 3 hours this morning, then back tonight after close to reset the floor with a new display) which is NOT FUN.  Oh well, gotta do what you gotta do, right?  <img alt="rolleyes.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/rolleyes.gif"></p>

<p>Off to pay some bills and drink my tea, then go sell lotions and potions for a while.  Then I have to hit Publix to make a dent in the Turkey Day list.  oof.  </p>

<p>DH's baseball team had their year end party last night   Had a really great time!!  Lots of signifincant others showed up so that was great to talk to them.  They did some awards and such then one of the guys said "Come on outside, I have some fireworks".  Everyone thought it was a bottle rocket or two.  Nope, it was like a full blown display, we were shocked!!!  So cool to have a private display.  Not sure if the nieghbors liked it but it wasn't too late </p>

<p>Duck when I bought my house but still had overlap with my condo I had someone do my taxes that year.  I figured I ony needed the help one year to make sure I was doing everything ok.  I say go for it, your peace of mind and being able to kind of use it as a template for years to come will be worth it!</p>

<p>Been a good productive day here.  I raked a million leaves, cleaned the gutters, and got quite a bit more insulation laid down.  I'm gonna sleep good tonight.</p>
