Not fun: dropping Moonie off at the airport. This was our shortest visit yet, at just under 48 hours, and now our next one isn't until Thanksgiving. *sigh* It was not an easy goodbye, to be sure.

I hope everyone headed to the Twin Cities (or who is already there) has a great time this weekend. I can't wait to hear the stories, both the running and non-running ones.

Morning, bard. Sorry for the short visit

Finished my walk this morning and really had to hustle to catch a woman on the trail. If she hadn't been waylaid by a retriever puppy, I never would have caught her. It was all I could do to stay ahead of her. I also ran into the local half-marathon (which I ran last year). It was funny b/c I put on the race shirt from that race for my walk this morning and wondered if the race was today or tomorrow. I guess I got my answer.

Off to breakfast with some friends I'm going to introduce to each other. I need to do weeding after that, but I may put it off for yet another week. We'll see.

Have a good weekend, everyone!

Yeah, sorry the visit was short. But, at least you got to visit, right? Have fun weeding Prae - I really need to clean up my garden and flower beds, but I keep ignoring that little fact. Don't think that will change this weekend either.

Fun: More living room painting! (not). However, with the 2nd coat, at least in a day I should be able to move furniture in the unpainted part of the room to the painted part, so I can be closer to being finished!!! Being finished will certainly be fun!!!

Dude. Starting the 2nd coat on the trim today. Really not motivated to do it.

Fun? - we're going to a concert tonight with my FIL and his wife. It's Josh somebody. Turner? Some country guy playing at the Hillsdale County Fair. Never heard of him. I'm mostly going to put in the face time with FIL & W and to people watch. And to drive. (Dh worked last night/this morning, so he would normally be sleeping during travel & concert time.)

I'm chilled.

I wish I could do dinner at Crane's.

So.... the 2nd coat on the trim seemed to go on faster. Got my quota for the day done. Ailarie, how's it going for you?

Done, thank you! (praying I didn't miss spots again. I suck at being a painter!). I'll see if I can get a second pair of eyes over here tomorrow for a look-see (looksey? whatever!). Unless they find some really huge spot that is screaming 'PAINT ME!!', I'm starting to move furniture around to get to that final wall. I'm so tired of my living room looking like a disaster area!

Now.. I think I may try to make those pumpkin bars that we've discussed in the threads this week!

Okay - got it! (thanks Kris!!). Unfortunately the web site is not cooperating so I'll have to track live. Which is fun too. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THIRTIES IN Minneapolis to St. Paul!

Whoever mentioned this pumpkin gooey desert bar thing? I love you and hate you at the same time. This is completely drool-worthy. Could use less sugar/butter, but wow. I am definitely going to have to run 10 miles tomorrow, because I am not sure of the willpower I am going to have around this dessert. Must take most into work on Monday to get rid of it before I eat it all.

No weeding. I knew that was going to happen. I did start a new bib, though, so that's something. Breakfast with friends was good, so that was a good way to start the day. I'm working my church's Octoberfest tomorrow. Can't wait to clean up after people for 2.5 hours! NOT!

Fun: my niece spent the night and the girls actually went to bed at a decent time and slept through the night.

DH & his buddies are two shots back in the tournament. Fingers crossed that they finally win this thing. They've been very close many times.

Ooof. Sleepover here last night. Ds#1 and one guest slept great. DS#2 and other friend - I don't think they slept at all. This meant I got very little sleep too. Should be an interesting day. DS#2 is already weepy over something.

While what's-his-name isn't someone I would have actively sought out to see, the concert was actually pretty good once it started. There was an hour rain delay. I'm grateful we were in the grand stand because it was windy and rainy the entire time. They ended up hanging a tarp from the roof on one side of the stage to keep the rain from blowing in on their equipment. Did I say it was cold? The band members all had gloves on, and the guy - Josh? - kept his hands in his pockets a good bit of the time. Heh. Southerners.

Creepy bit - we parked in a cemetery. It was a church-sanctioned parking place, but still. Sort of disturbing.

I really should work on the trim today. 2nd coat on half of the trim. But I don't wanna. :sigh:
