Hi there.

I sort of caught up on the threads from earlier in the week, and I have 2 things to say.

Ladies, those brown boots came from Zappos. I have some issues with boots being tight on my calves, but these are OK.

I was interested in what Moe had to say about ((())) hugs versus {{{}}} hugs. I had no idea. Evidently I have been groping people all over the place. I hope none of you feel too violated.

You are too funny, Diane. I love me some boots so now I have to look! I also have the same problem with boots since running--I like the effect running has on my legs except that it has increased my calf size. (Leg calf, not cow calf--don't even have one of the latter.)

I need to catch up on the week's thread as well. I'm back from Dad things and conference things and looking for some calm..how are all of you??

Okay, yesterday's non-running thread was hilarious. Litch, we are NOT weirdos. We are sick and twisted and flirty and a bit too over the top and apparently virtually groping each other, but not weirdos.

Now you and your wife have got to mess with her friends.

I have this situation at work currently; I was erroneously copied on an email that a co-worker sent implying something about me in a rather nasty way. Now I'm deliberately trying to feed into her implications and keep her guessing. It's really funny, reminds me Pam and Jim messing with Dwight in The Office. I could be mature and talk with her, but honestly, she's the big gossip in the office, anyway and I just don't care.

Brandy, are too a cute runner, I've seen you. And see! You didn't like those shorts on you before! Good on ya!

I am off to run a bunch of errands...then lunch with DH at the Indian buffet...then costume stuff...then going to the theatre tonight.

I'm not sleeping well at all...I didn't get to sleep until after 1 this morning and woke up at 6. Not good at all. Stupid work...I'm all worried about getting everything done in the last 5 days I have there. Ugh.

Ok, I'm out-y!

morning!

Didn't get a chance to do more than skim through yesterday's thread -- looks like it was an, um, interesting one!

Instead, I was enjoying a day at the shore. Had a great run, walked up to the beach and took in the beautiful ocean... there's some calm, for ya, Crane!

Nothing exciting on tap for the weekend, and I like it that way, for a change... I'll check in later when I'm putting off grading my stack of papers!

() is for a hug
{} is for a more suggestive hug

I just learned this a few days ago meself.

Back from hockey, DW is off to soccer, I need to get DD ready for a cheerleading competition (why the hell am I doing her hair?!?!), and DS#1 has theater in two hours.

OK, I'm done with the eval. Showered and cleaned up and sitting here having a coff-ay adn posting from the computer in the locker room.

Good News! I'm pretty healthy!
Resting Heart Rate 54 beats/min
Blood Pressure 98/72
BMI 22.1
Waist to Hip ratio = .8 - this was actually a little high for my age indicating a higher risk for cardiovascular issues PLUS I have a family history (Dad died of heart disease, had a few heart attacks before I was a teenager) so that's something to watch for but as long as I maintain what I've got going on I should be ok. That's not a medical guarantee or anything of course.

The BodPod was just a wee bit freaky, totally felt like I was sitting in one of those pods from the Alien movie.
% Body Fat 23.6%
% Fat Free Mass 76.4%
Fat Mass 29.449 lb
Fat Free Mass 95.339 lb
Body Mass 124.789 lb
All those numbers tell me that I am moderately lean - my fat level is generally acceptable for good health.

My aerobic capacity was Excellent. In my same age bracket the range was 30-51 and I scored a 48. I wore a heart rate monitor and walked on a treadmill and the thing gauged my heart rate and automatically adjusted the incline and pace to get it to the range it was supposed to be at. The gal running the test said she had never seen it get as high as it did. I was at 11.5 incline and 3.5 pace. She said that such a low heart rate was a good thing. yay!

VO2 Max = 48.0.

My flexibility measured off their charts.

So I am feeling pretty darn good about myself today. I think I'll go shopping.

Woo hoo!

mkay, I'll read through the rest of yesterdays posts later and post something less self centered later today.

Have a happy day my wonderful 30s friends!

An article that Roo may find interesting.

Rosie the Riveter

Hey all...

This has been a B.U.S.Y. week, so I've stayed in the short and sweet thread and have only managed to read some of what's been going on here.

1. You're all super-funny.
2. And exceedingly prolific in your funnies.
3. I'll never keep up!

Ah, well. BigG - you are super-fit! I'm now curious about doing that kind of test. Not that I'd have results anything like yours, but that's a lot of very interesting info...

I have to run errands today and avoid doing any type of work around the house that might jeopardize my muscles for tomorrow's race (hee hee, what an excuse!!). I also have to carbo-load tonight, my racing superstitions have me eating fettucine alfredo. Yum!

I should go back and do some thread catchup, I don't know who's been doing what with whom? (Though I read enough to know when you're likely doing it... )

Have a great day all!

Big G good for you! Great work on getting fit. I agree with Coach- you haven't received any complaints about {{}} have you? You won't from me. I am open to friskyness from any of our lovely ladies.

Going to knock out errands this morning- haircut, grocery shopping and then the post office.

This afternoon and evening are free for the first time since football season started. Ole Miss is off this week so no game for me to work. I really needed a break. I enjoy working the games but it sort of kills one day off if you know what I mean. SO I am going to watch some of the SEC games. I need to do a little housekeeping but I am off on Monday and might do it then. But I probably will do a little cleaning with the foosball games playing in the background.

Not sure what else will come my way today but I hope to enjoy my day off.

Have a fun day everyone!

Now that has potential!
Cool data. Were you surprised by anything or was this what you expected?

I almost posted this in the running thread...shame on me.

QOD coming...
Solar's QOD the other day got me thinking (what have you given up for running...)
QOW1 - What's on your 'To Do' list. Not for today or tomorrow, but your Life's To Do list. Running may have changed some of these?
Recently watched Goldmember and Powers' list of "Things to Do Before I Die" popped into my head (aka, Threesome w/Japanese Twins)
QOW2 - What have you checked off of your To Do list?

I'll check in later and answer my own Q. I'm off to go run.
I didn't know there was a difference either. Add me to the list of molesters.

What's it mean if you use half and half? {({({ Gov })})}

Is that like an ass-grab and a pat on the back at the same time?

Somebody just emailed me a bunch of these "motivational" posters. This one may be apropos here.

How about having a psycho with a gun running through the office building?
(Yes, this has happened, and no, it wasn't a disgruntled employee. Soon-to-be-ex man looking for his wife.)

We've also been in lock down because of an employee being stalked and the stalker had no issues violating the restraining order. (This happened a couple times with different people. Management posted photos of him at all the doors so you would know who NOT to let in, and all around the rest of the building so if you saw him any where near we could report it.
