Happy Birthday Lincoln!

gee....is today Pres Lincoln's bd too??? it's soon anyway. Interesting.

Not enough sleep makes me feel hungover.

I miss DH when he's gone...I get so restless...I can't get to bed early because I'm lonely.
Lincoln the president was born on the 12th. Yup, been hearing that all my life.

I'm about to take DS to daycare and then head to the gym---working weird hours today so I have about 45 mins to get a run in.
I got a whole lotta nothing today! Crapola weather here, I wanted to stay curled in bed today!

Accomplished next to nothing last night, just read a book and played with the doggies. Oh and finished off a Shamrock Shake that DH brought home for me the night before. Those things rock!!!

Have lots more menial tasks to do at work today, such fun! Just hope the day flies by so I can get outta here!

Happy birthday Lincoln!!!
Happy Birthday Lincoln!

Dear Weather Gods,

Must you always freeze my car windows in the winter so that I cannot open them? It makes parking at work a real PITA when I have to pull ahead and open my car door to wave the key card in front of the sensor. I hereby request a week of warm, dry weather so that the moisture in the works has a chance to dry.

Good morning everyone. I hope you have a great day. I'm actually off to a good start. I got up early to complete my cross training and have gotten a few odd chores around the house knocked out as well. So that's good.

Not much else going on today. Not to put things on a downer but I am sort of dreading Valentine's day this week. It's actually not a holiday for a lot of folks and for me it's a reminder of what I don't have in my life- a 30s wimmin. LOL jk. Actually I just try to tune it all out and get on with the day. Fort hose who have someone in their life please do have a great Valentine's tomorrow. Enjoy it and be thankful for the blessing of that person being a part of your life.

/end selfish bit

have a good one all
happy birthday newb lincoln!

Re: 2 girls 1 cup - I have NEVER seen it and never will. Things like that burn into my mind and I can't stop thinking about them. I had nightmares for 1 month after seeing 28 days later - I also drew blood from DH's leg during the movie

anyways...that conversation last night followed by this post

I thought it was funny...I must admit
Happy Birthday Lincoln! (It's DH's bday today, too.)

Wow! What a mess was dumped on us overnight. DD's school is canceled, good thing. I'm not sure I would have taken her anyway in this mess. Me being sick and all. It's so strange not to do anything. Doctor's orders, lay around and rest. Incredibly, if I even walk upstairs to get something and then come back downstairs I get completely winded and have to lay down for the next hour. I guess doctors DO know what they're talking about. (Sorry DrChris.)

Hope y'all are either called off from work or being very safe!
Happy Birthday Lincoln. ccasion5:

re: weather, what Bard said.

Valentine's Day - [rant]It is total crap. Maples, I'm not picking on you but you should be more upset about not having someone in your life to share those unexpected moments, like snuggling on the couch watching NCIS, or holding hands as you walk through the mall, or having someone get up early with you to go stand out in freezing weather while you run a 5k than you should about whatever "holiday" (sorry Theia) tomorrow the gift industry has forced upon us. No, I've never given Tonya anything on Valentine's Day and I honestly never plan on it. I do things whenever I can to show her how special she is, no matter how cliche that sounds. And, it's just my opinion so it's likely wrong - but all the people who just get something on Valentine's Day from their significant other and not the other 364 days of the year are the one's that are really missing out.[/rant]
Happy B-day Lincoln

White Death falling here, unfort it's just melting on ground.
Happy Birthday Lincoln!

It's gross out. Last night it was so pretty before it turned to ice. Took a 1/2 day yesterday so that I wouldn't have to drive on Rte 78 with Avery during rush hour. Good thing, there were like 7 accidents on there. Thank goodness I work from home on Wed. DH is working from home today too.

Nothing else going on here. I'm slowly getting better. I would have tried to get out for a little run today to see how it feels but not now in this mess!
kp - too early for rant.

Re: valentines day - Dh and I will exchange something small and then head over to Baker's Square for dinner. Nice and low key..hanging with the senior citizens ..mmm..pie.
It is a crock though.
I kinda feel like Maples. Not because of the day in and of itself (frankly, I'd be OK with your approach), but because all the attention and emphasis put on romance/couplehood in our culture is exponentially increased this week. For those of us who would like all those moments that you describe, and have not been so fortunate as to find someone to share them with, this week kind of rubs our face in it.

I'd like to opt out of this week, please.
