Christmas snow and temps of -15c / 5f. 4:00 am came early today.

15 miles total. 11.5 at an 8:45 pace with iffy traction, and the last 3.5 at a considerably slower pace with a running buddy. Let's just call it slower than recovery pace. It evens out because yesterday's second recovery run was really a fast pace run.

If that makes sense to you then maybe you can explain it back to me.

Have good ones all.

Last night I got a good solid hour of TM work to add to my morning hour. It included a bunch of 3-5 minute intervals at 10%/5mph, something I've been lacking recently.

This morning, 45 minutes TM at moderate effort. Hope to go back for an hour after work.

I'm now below 195 lbs. This is equal to or below my minimum for 2006 and well below the 200+ I've been running in the last few minutes.

Too many I guess. Every day if I can. My short runs are 5k. My long ones are 20k. I am getting tired of TM. I had some great outdoor runs last time I was in Timmins.

Morning Run: About 8.2 miles in about 1:12:00. My Garmin went on the fritz this afternoon so I can't get at the data yet.

Afternoon Run: About 7.3 miles in about 1:05 I think. Since my garmin locked up I ran without a watch. Probably a better thing since I just ran at a pace that my body liked instead of trying to keep a certain pace.

Taught yoga this morning. 7 miles this afternoon with 5 X 3:00 5K pace intervals/2:00 recovery.

My left outer lower leg is achy/twingey in the exact same place it was last taper. Isn't that weird? I felt it gradually come on during the run. I'll ice it well and get a massage on Friday if my MT is available.

Nice runs today, Grizzly and Floridaboiler -- way to train hard you guys! Hippo, congrats on the weight loss.

circuit training today.

My right hip/shin feels all wonky, like my leg is not seated properly in my hip joint. My husband is lecturing me about my mileage, which honestly! I've been obeying the 10% rule.

just 3 miles on the treadmill and probably a little ab work later...

My lower back is still aching from yesterday. Like an idiot, I decided to rearrange my office - which involved making 2 large L-shaped desks flip-flop spots - all by myself. It was a very, very stupid thing to do - but when I decide something has to be done - it has to be done now - I can't wait for help. :rolls eyes at self:

6.5miles at 4:30am, ran better but still recovering. Considered a double today because it was SO beautiful outside this afternoon but the sharp shooting pains in the left hip made me decide against it.

Recovery runs. Love 'em.

5 miles easy. Cooled down with 6x strides. Felt sluggish during the run, yet charged up after the strides.

Woo hoo, Dev! 6 more hours on the mountain.

Late night posting from the Left Coast again.
5 miles into a chilly wind. I really to need to add miles; and I've only gotten 10 Saturday, 4 Sunday, 5 Monday, 7 Tuesday and 5 tonight. I'm going to try to be like Hippo and add some on the joymill in the early morning.

Enjoy the gift!

Got 5.2 in on the treadmill.

I think I could have done more, but my legs were pretty heavy and I'm trying not to cook myself too early this year. Patience, young man!
