Good morning! This evening we head for Arizona, to visit my mom and dad. Can't wait!

First we have to pack, and I need to get a run in. Miss Sunshine is such a good reader that she can sit next to me and read over my shoulder now as I type on the computer. Yippee!

It was the best of runs, it was the worst of runs...

The Chinook got rid of most of the snow, but what was left when it collapsed turned to ice, and then we had a skiff of snow last night. Not good. Then there was the wind. Not good.

I fell. Not bad, but darn.

On the good side, hills, porcupines, deer.

On the bad side, slow.

~~~waving to miss sunshine~~~
Have fun in sunny, warm AZ!
note to jenna,
I was able to open that link from yesterday to view the HERO WOD.
Holy barbells, Batman!
There is no way that I could do 20 reps of several of those lifts with 65lbs....shoulders would buckle on the jerk press and overhead squats, elbows would blow out on the 65lb upright row.
Congrats to your fitness abilities if you're able to do that weight, Jenna; and WHO CARES how long it took!
Nothing like a (to me) early morning phone call on the first day of Christmas vacation.
Oh well lots to do today, so I am looking at it as a blessing, I just wasn't seeing it that way through blurry vision at 8:03. Very funny because at about 7:00 I sort of woke up to realize that neither the substitute teaching computer nor my teaching friends were going to phone me today, then the next thing I knew the phone was ringing, and I remember thinking "no, it is not a work day is it?"
Hi! me= sleepy. So much to do at home and nothing to do here at work... yet I can't leave!
Thanks Porty! I can do the weight (but it hurts!) When I first started this just over a year ago, I could barely do the overhead squat with a PVC pipe (heck, I had never, ever completed a pushup and couldn't do one on my first day). I could do the deads but it was hard. It was all hard. Several times over the last few months, we've been messing with Clean and Jerks and I got 30+ C&J at 80 to 85 lbs... so on Thanksgiving morning this year, I was hanging with my friend and our workout was as 15 minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) of 12 deadlifts at 100# and 12 ring pushups... so, after the workout, I was like... I wonder if I can get this overhead... and sure enough, I cleaned it easily and jerked that puppy overhead. I almost peed myself I was so happy
I wish we lived closer, Porty... you'd love this stuff.
He took it easy on us last night. It was a 15 minute AMRAP of 9 Deadlifts @100lbs, 12 pushups, and 15 box jumps (20 inch box). That's a pretty easy WOD... tiring, but I don't need to puke halfway through.
So, I have all my work done for the year. I'm ahead with no loans to work on. I get to watch youtube stuff Good times! I like to be busy, but this little lull is nice. We've been going almost nonstop for the last 15 months. I'm kinda in awe of the quiet.
Well, back to youtube for me. You all have a great day. Oh, and Way to get out there, Grizz!
