i'm up, i'm at it, and i'm going at life at about 100 bskillion miles an hour now. work and mid-day is going to be busybusy, so i figured i'd pop in early.

i feel like i'm going to have to change up my half-hour a day routine soon, as in friday. after tomorrow, i will have spent a half-hour a day (except last sunday) for two weeks running at the same pace for the same amount of time. and i'm either going to have to speed things up, or lengthen some runs. i haven't decided which way to go. may be both, eventually. i'm hoping this weekend will be nice. at least one of my runs will be outside on the pavement. my knees aren't looking forward to it.

happy trails today, runners.

'morning folks.

Got 5.0 last night after work. Had a friendly boxer mix follow me for a bit, until he found someone else more receptive (ie, not trying to shoo him away for his own safety), and moved on. Varied my route a bite to check out some neighborhoods. Got a little lost actually, though I always knew the general direction of where familiar stuff was, and found my way back. (Hubby would be so proud, as I'm seriously directionally challenged!)

Also nearly had my first runner/car collision from an elderly nut in a Cadillac, who apparently didn't believe that pedestrians have the right of way in crosswalks. Needless to say that I'm glad I pay attention, because he surely wasn't, and nearly ran the stop sign by the crosswalk! Hmph.

Anywho...today has probably 4-5 on the TM, and then that's it before the HM. I'm now at T-minus 4 days and counting. Eek!

Hey all:

Crazy busy at work, but still getting the runs in. I've started to mix up Tempo Tuesday a bit for some variety. Last night was 10 miles in 1:11 with 1 mile @ 5:20, 5 min jog, then 4 @5:49, then 3 min jog, then 1 @ 5:20. Get used to running hard tired. Of course I'm tired all the time, so that's relative

This morning was an early 7.5 in an hour. It's going to be a nice day today - I wish I could have run later.

Good runs today everybody!

Pacer & Jen - so what does the 4 week forecast look like for Boston? Sunny?

I had a run in with a car in a honey baked ham parking lot friday. apparently, needing a ham for Easter dinner makes you blind....due to dissertation issues beyond my control i didn't handle it with a lot of grace and *might* have said, "by all means, asshat...celebrate our Lord and Saviors birth by running my ass down in the parking lot."

Morning,

Just a second to check in here. Been running this week. 5.25 Sunday and 4.25 last night. Not enough time still between tutoring/work, but I'm trying. At least the weather is starting to cooperate a little more. Hoping to get out for something tonight after work.

Nice to see you around here Staci!

Not much longer, Ailarie! I'm still not sure if I'm running it or not (depends on if I can sign up on Sat. at the expo).

Gotta go. 17 mins to get ready! Oops!

Damn cat made me lose my post. And it was really funny. Really.

Hungover right now (gotta love Tuesday dart league!) but 4 on tap after work tonight. I'm not looking forward to it (or work or anything other than sleeping) right now, but it'll get done.

Good runs to all today!

I saw a comic yesterday that made me miss all of you. I spent some time looking for it online so I could post a link, but I couldn't find it. I'll do my best to describe it:

Frame 1:
woman running with man following

Frame 2:
Woman says "Good Run!"
Man says "Yeah the view was amazing!"

Frame 3"
Woman says "Yeah, the view of the ocean was really nice!"
Man asks "Ocean?"

at the bottom of the frame: True story

**end comic**

who's guilty?

Morning, friends--

45 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I swear, if I didn't feel guilty about VRAA points, I would be such a lazy slug right now. I'm in hibernate mode, despite it being the beginning of Spring instead of Winter. Ah, well. I'll break out of the funk soon. Today's an off day from running, but I may walk home from school if I feel like it.

So, this is what I'm telling DH this morning: 26 more days until Boston, 24 more days until we leave, 20 more days before I start thinking about packing (we realize that we'll have to buy another suitcase, I'll be bringing so much with me), 11 more days until I can begin to obsess with the forecast on AccuWeather, 5 more days until the slow beginning of taper, 2 more speedy workouts, 1 more 20 miler, ha!

Now, I'm aware I have no control over the weather (this upsets me), but I can analyze every little thing about it.

I need to start making lists, this will help distract me...a little.

Today will probably be an easier day, 2 slow runs, I think. I still have half my burrito left for lunch, so I need to burn off some calories today. DH hasn't even started on his---there is a lot of burrito in the house today!
