Thor, way to get out on a cool Fall morning.

As for me, up early, but not for training, had to go into NYC for some meetings. After those meetings are over I am booking it down to Philadelphia for an interview (fingers crossed). Then when I get home tonight it is going to be an hour on the trainer FIB a 30 minute run. A very, very busy day!

Have a great day everyone!

I've been too busy lately to post here but I've been keeping up with the Insanity workouts. I've transitioned to the MAX workouts which are an hour long and even more intense. They completely wipe me out. I did the max Cardio Conditioning this morning and have masters swim tonight.

Yesterday was 7mile including 2x2mile (w/ 30sec R) at tempo. I am slooooooow right now.

Today, I took our GF Marlin to the trail. What a difference from the 5lbs lighter/29er SJ. I liked this small bike (13.5) and its handling on the tight corners but felt heavy and not snappy at all. I am still talking to various LBS's about 26" vs 29". No ending in sight to determine which bike to get.....

Planning to run 5-7miles depending upon how I feel later. Probably in rain.

5.5m dirt/jogger run (can't really call it trail since it's technically a fire road). Happy to have gone faster than the last time I did the same route with the stroller. Quite a few people running today - kind of nice to have company out there!

Good evening! I had a big meeting from 9-1 this morning, then I had a couple of hours off. So I went to the gym and ran 3 miles plus 1 mile walk for w/u & c/d, then did 30 minutes of stretching. This is the first time I've run 3 miles since my neck surgery on January 11th. I had a procedure called anterior cervical decompression fusion, which involved replacing 2 disks in my neck with cadaver disks and then screwing the whole mess back together. I was out of work for 3 weeks and not permitted to run until June. I started walk/run program on May 31 (all right, I know not quite June) and it's taken me this long to get back up to a 3 mile run. That's kinda sad, don't you think? But regardless, it's very slowly coming along so I'm pleased about that at least. I was permitted to start spinning in April so I've been doing more of that, although I tend to get a sore lower back from spinning so I only do about 2 hours per week. I resumed yoga in May too but I have a lot of restrictions with that as well, since my range of motion in my neck is a little more limited than it used to be. The good news is that I don't have any more pain in my neck, shoulder, down my arms, or in my hands. I'm also 5 lbs heavier, unfortunately, but hopefully as I gradually ramp up the mileage, the weight will drop off. Not that I'm fat, but I prefer my clothes to be looser and I don't really want to buy new work clothes.

Now I'm back at work for the late afternoon/evening, with a Board meeting scheduled at 7pm. Ugh. I hate working late. But it was nice to have a few hours off this afternoon. I also got a pedicure which was lovely. We're going to a fancy wedding on Friday night so my little toesies will look pretty in my blue "f-me" sandals.

I'm constantly amazed at how many miles this group accrues, running & cycling. You guys are incredible!

52 min, 4mile run, just barely under z2. Felt harder though. Maybe it's cuz I haven't been running and I ate too much in the mean time? yeah, probably.

2000 yards in the pool. Will someone please tell my work that i prefer to post all day at kickrunners rather than work. We have been stupidly busy for the past few months and i want to go back to the good old days of hardly doing anything.
