Good morning, all.

Been AWOL due to family and work drama. Going out for six this morning, and will try to do some fishbowl work a bit later. Shoulders are still sore from my tri pool effort 10 days ago.

Mornin' gang,

Great day for running again around here. October was kind of a crappy weather month -- started and ended cold & wet -- so hopefully November will be good.

Lunchtime speed planned for today -- contemplating doing some Yasso 800s.

Chances - way to keep it going with all the drama. Running is often my refuge from all that.

4bm - good luck getting something in. No doubt you will.

MB - 5 x mile repeats is pretty ambitious for a reintroduction to speedwork but you did pretty well getting through 4+ of them, I would say.

BBS - ultras are a slippery slope.

Yasso 800s today. I did the full 10 x 800 with 3:20 as the target, and it was tough. Started out at around 3:26 for the first two, then started getting down closer to 3:20 where I wanted to be, until the last 3 when I started to fade. Legs just got tired and I was having a hard time staying mentally focused...hung on for dear life and managed to keep them at around 3:26 again. So I guess I averaged around 3:23 on the day. 9.7 miles when all was said and done.
