Morning kicky runners,

Still in rest mode here. Now if I could just stop stuffing my face...

Actually I'm hoping to maybe get out for a little walk at lunchtime, 2 miles or so if the thunderstorms can stay away for a little bit.

No turkey trot running planned for me, obviously. But I will be volunteering at our club's turkey trot 5-miler tomorrow morning. It's a pretty big event, usually gets at least 2,000 runners. As for the holiday itself, DW and I right now have no plans. No over the river and through the woods or any family coming to see us. Just how things worked out this year. Has me thinking about that Christmas song by the Waitresses...and the "world's smallest turkey."

BBS - So are you going to maximize efficiency by running in orange gear between hunts?

Jebba - New Haven's still technically in the NYC metro area, at least if you ask a New Yorker it is. Anyway, go a little north to Vermont and they're a little less reserved -- by New England standards that is.

Kevin - enjoy the afternoon run and satisfaction of having squeezed it in no matter what the day's schedule says.

RA - re: the 5k it all depends on the recovery from NYC and where you are on that. Last year I did a trail 8k on Saturday of this weekend and I definitely labored a bit. I really didn't hit my stride after NYC until the Christmas break. But it could be different for you. Either way, good luck.
