Morning, ya'll!

Me...

5 mile run early this very chilly morning. Coldest morning of the season. Still in shorts but had to break out the SmartWool and wind jacket. Tempoish pacing but slow time-wise, probably due to cold and partially waiting for school buses and other traffic.

Thor, really cold down here in PA as well.

As for me, all of sudden on my way home from work on Monday I got an add pain in my right hip. When I woke up yesterday morning it was still there (sleeping was tough during the night). I went swimming yesterday and I tried to stretch and rub out the soreness. At lunch I attempted to run and the pain went from the center of my thigh over to the inside quadricep muscle and feels like a charlie horse. I cut the run short.

So, this morning, my legs feels better but still not "right". I didn't do my usual Wednesday morning BRICK figuring I would be doing more harm than good. I am going to see how I do through out the day and make the determination as to whether I should go to my sports doc tonight or if my resting it will take care of it.

So.....I might have a BRICK workout tonight, or I might just take the day off and rest up my leg (I am leaning towards a rest day).

Have a fun on this beautiful fall day!

I have been swimming loads lately not so much cycling and running but I am getting back into it - have been a bit of a couch potato lately but with Skiing on the horizon I need to get fitter

I will hopefully be around more often - at least you lot can give me hell if I start to slack

Good morning (almost afternoon), my kick friends.

This morning I was a bit rushed for time due to heavy traffic, so I limited my treadmill time to 2 miles only but I ran them harder and faster than Monday's run. Each mile was 1 minute faster plus I added more elevation onto the treadmill. So although the run was short, it was fairly intense and I was out of breath & very sweaty afterwards. Of course I walked before and after, plus did 15 minutes of stretching afterwards.

Miles, I'm sorry to hear about your hip. I have hip bursitis on the right side, plus hip arthritis so I'm constantly monitoring every little twinge. In addition, my IT bands are tight but I work hard to keep them as stretched out as possible. I could practically be my own physical therapist, for all the time and money I've spent! I hope that your hip pain resolves quickly.

4 mile stroller run - me in long tights and Eli dressed like a wooly bear. Have to post a pic, I wish I had this outfit for myself! I don't care what Ferber, Sears, Hogg or any other baby expert says - Eli will only nap outside or after having been outside. So, gotta get him dressed for winter - looks like I'll be running and walking a lot!

Run day today - may need to sneak out the minute I get home from work so that I can get it done OUTSIDE. Today's run is dedicated to the memory of Ryan Shay on the anniversary of his death. Do what you love tri-peeps.

Afternoon tri-peeps! Morning started out crappy here in Chicagoland but its turning into a rather nice day.

Miles - hope its nothing serious and clears up quickly.

Neil - good to have you back buddy!

Sparty - such a sad story. It means something that while he lived he was able to spend his time doing something he loves.

2200m in the pool. Noreen sprinkled in some of the yoga philosophy, which causes me to roll my eyes. Not buying that saying 'Hu Vu' or some such creates a specific frequency which causes us to be in harmony. I'm there to swim, not chant. FIB 30 minutes of lower body and core workout.

30 min run later today.

Have a great day everyone!

Finished my CT workout, started at 190watts, crept up to 210 in erg mode. Seems like decent power for me this time of year, I guess. Hard to say as I can't remember my normal rides from last year.

I also saw Ronbo's bike today at the shop and his screwed up old fork.

Neil - nice to see you back!

Was going to take the Little Otters on the dirt today, but nobody wanted to go for a stroller ride. So, opted for the treadmill while they watched Yo Gabba Gabba (which is by far the oddest kid show I've ever seen, but it really does have a good message). Did some intervals working up to 7.0mph for a total of 5.15 miles. My early morning two cups of coffee served me well - felt super peppy!

Hi Neil!!!

Unplanned DOR. This seesaw weather in the PNW has been killing my allergies and gave me a wicked sinus headache today that I actually went home from work early. I figure it's better for me to save my energy for tomorrow's 6 miles than to try and suffer through 4 today.
