Good morning all.

I decided to take a rest day today -- my knee is bothering me a bit and I have a race tomorrow...

Tomorrow afternoon is the "Turkey Trot" here at work -- that very short, very steep uphill/downhill race. It is always a ton of fun and I am getting excited. Here is the elevation again:

Hey all, quick fly-by before our company Thanksgiving lunch starts. Oh and then later tonight I have a dinner meeting with my professional association. Anyone want to take a whack at the over/under on today's calorie count?

In between lots of work and meetings, so no run today either. But I'll have lots of fuel in the tank for tomorrow.

Apple - re your late post last night...so glad you represented for trails and open space like that. Big kudos from me.

loopy - good luck with a race that surely no turkey would ever dare to trot

Jill - nice easy 5...I see a tornado building that is likely to hit Philly around 7am Sunday. ;)

zrun - enjoy the yoga. Checking out some available class times around here is on my to-do list. When I will actually get to it is anyone's guess.

Dan - hope you get some answers. This has gone on long enough!

4bm - give it a few more days before deciding on the HM. I don't know what recovery from a 60 mile walk is like but I would guess it's pretty similar to a marathon recovery phase, maybe shorter though since you were walking rather than running.

RA - have fun at the track. And I am highly familiar with that frantic rush from the office to make the weekly track workout...at least half the time I'm late and end up doing the reps on my own anyway.

Went from 5 mph (6am) to 17 mph (currently.) I hope we don't have wind in Philly, that is the only thing that would totally mess with my plans.

Yeah...wind can be real party crasher on marathon day. I don't want to blame the winds we had in NYC for my less than ideal performance, but in truth they probably were a factor (though certainly not the only one).

No point worrying about what you can't control. Just be confident and run your race. Damn the torpedos, or something like that.
