Hello, all. Been awhile for me. Work's kicking my derriere. Been catching up on the posts, and looks like solid work by everyone. 'Specially you, Dave. Holy bikerides Batman!

Love/hate relationship with running these days. Mileage has been pretty low. Come to realize that speedwork at 180lbs is much tougher on me than when I'm 168 -- always seems to kill my ankles. So, I'm just enjoying a moderate schedule for now, with the idea of ramping up mileage -- and hopefully dropping some weight -- over the next couple of months. No speed. We'll see how it goes.

Out for 7. Good ones to all.

Chances - Low miles? My word! Anyway, I hope those lbs float away. I have a couple I need to get rid off too - if you could see to those as well, I'd appreciate it.. Take it easy on that 7.

I had planned on an easy 5-6 but ended up with 8 after doubling up a loop on a branch off the standard route. Sunny, upper 60s and very humid. Track tonight is a mile time trial... errr may skip that rather than embarass myself. We shall see how the day pans out.

chances--good to have you back!

Asics--I think we went from late winter to summer overnight.

Super sucktacular "run" for me this morning. Just nuthin' in the legs. At this rate, there is no way I'm doing the charity run next weekend. Posting a 30+ 5K just ain't happening. Off to move some more dirt before heading to work this afternoon.

Good morning all.

Chance - Good to see you and nice 7 miler!

RA - Nice run this morning.

4BM - Maybe some rest is needed. Not just from running/cycling/swimming, but seems like you are always on the move.

Me - 12.7 mile commute to work at 17.3 mph. A quick change and then off for my 6 mile run with 8x1 minute intervals @ 6:50-7:00 pace. I finished the run off with 2.3 miles @ a 7:30 pace. The heat and humidity is definitely back. High 60's and 90+ on humidity.

Happy training all.

Good morning everyone. Up early with p90x (legs and back). Might run at lunch, depending on when I get out of court and what the heat is like. Otherwise it'll be the treadmill this evening.

Dang, I stop by Wal-mart on the way home, and everyone has posted already!

Rob- Hopefully those moderate miles are still .00s

RA- so what would be embarrassing? Anything over sub 5?

Mom- I bet you'd suprise yourself with a nice time at that 5K

Dave- You are an animal

Jebba- still on the streak??

Smart Coach Says 6 mile Tempo today w/ 4 @ 7:24 pace. It'll be on the TM today. My town route is getting stale. This stupid flood is C-blocking my runs big time... not to mention my work commute.

Good morning everyone. I got out for 2 X10 minute tempo this morning. It is done. The week off being sick made it morde difficult than I had expected. 7:20 pace and 7:17 for the two segments. 5 miles total this morning. Once I am fully recovered from being sick I hope to be getting faster for some racing in a month.

Another 30 min with 4 min walk 2 min run. It was hard. Guess I'm really out of shape.

Hey Rob. With your short 7 mile runs the lbs should melt away.

Good morning all - WOW busy busy day for all.

Got up early,,... well the birds woke me up since I left bedroom window open and since I was up I took the pup for a shirt 5m. She was happy to finally get to go on a run. I picked a neighborhood park that has a 1m loop with lots of soft grass that she could run olong the path to protect her peds. She seemed ok but I didn't want to push it.

Weather is beautiful but for me the run was tough. The legs felt great but my mood was blah. Just didn't feel like running.

Here's a crazy sight. The past couple of weeks on my way into work I have noticed this little old Asian guy barefoot running up and down a sidewalk. The sidewalk is across from my work in front of a shopping center on a main street business district. (not the first place someone would choose to exercise) The sidewalk can't be more than 400 mtrs long and he runs up and down the walk in his barefeet. He is only about 4.5' tall and wears khaki pants, windbreaker and a baseball cap. It is just plain bizzare and I am dying to stop my car, get out and ask him what's the deal??!

something to ponder for the day.....

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning all,

Crazy day here as I need to get my desk cleared and then jet off to Oregon in the AM. I will get a run in at some point, just not sure when. Originally today was supposed to a cross-training (cycling) day but that's unlikely and with a lot of uncertainty about how much I'll be able to run out west, I'm probably going to push up the hill repeat workout planned for tomrrow to today.

Sorry no time to comment right now. I may be kind of spotty about popping up around here the next few days, too. Enjoy the runs and hopefully spring is here to stay awhile for everyone now.

Busy here this morning. Hi Chances!

I got out for a latish 6.5 on the trails. Already 73 and sunny, it was a challenge keeping it easy but still enjoyed the warm weather for a change. Hope it cools down a bit for the Poconos this weekend, though. Flying out to NY tomorrow after work. Weather is going to be ugly for track tonight, I think son1 will be watching his little brother play baseball instead (unless rain takes care of that too).

Quick fly by but wanted to post my swim workout.

Lunchtime I head out for my swim. 1500 meters on the schedule including 10x50 meter intervals leaving every 65 seconds. My warm-up included 400 meters with pull buoy and 400 meters kick with fins. My intervals went well all finishing between 42-45 seconds. The cool thing is that prior to today my faster 50 meters was 44 seconds and almost every interval today as fast or faster. Finished the workout with 200 meter cool-down with pull buoy working on my form.
