Hey gang!
Missed out posting yesterday - whoops!

We got about 6 inches of snow, which made the grayness all white and pretty! ;) 30 min on the trainer and 20 min FB weight workout.

Today - out on the roads for a short run...like 2 miles short. a bit of body fatigue and mental fatigue, but did get some time on the legs.

Mt Snow ended up with ~40 inches and other parts of ski country got anywhere from 24 to 36 inches. Nothing like a late season snow dump!

Wow that's a lot of snow Zoj in your area, no?

SB - too bad you had to cancel the backpack trip, but smart decision. I saw the pictures - is that same as Buckskin Gulch? OMG beautiful. Now, how does that relate to the SAR you commented on FB page? And the race sounds brutal.. and stay safe out there!

It was a strange day body-wise. Another 7am meeting so I had to get up earlier than normal. By 3pm, I was dead tired and couldn't keep eyes open. Took a nap, until 7pm.. just dead tire.. DH having cold but I don't have any symptoms. Dinner, then 2 mile walk again. I had the same 2-mile walk during the lunch time

ZOj yay snow! more keeps coming along here.
Yo not sure which Buckskin you were looking at but there have been several recent rescues and some deaths here where we meant to go: Hikers detail dramatic rescue operations after Kane County slot canyon flooding | KUTV

I am lagging but yesterday (wednesday) I had a nice 1.5 hr strength workout. I then sturggled to pu up my winter tent not too far form my house. I'm not sure just why I had so much trouble, one part was i was pretendign I was in the middle of a trip and didn't wnat to take off boots and snowshoes. Lesson learned I cna't put this tent up unless I get inside (its a single wall so criss cross poles have to be threaded along the ceiling). I then spent the night in the tent to test my new sleeping bag on my current pad options. It was @ -10 (-8.9) in the night wiht winds to 25. The tent is free stnading but the vestibule rrelies on the stakes and those and some deadmen anchors I made wiht stuff sacks all pulled out of the granular snow in the wind. When I went out at @ 2 am to try to snug it down there was a fox staring at me. I managed to sleep the rest of the night but I coudl feel some cold coming through my pads. I'll be looking for something more insulated before I head out for a cold trip!
