Testing day for team training. I think I did better on all of the physical things (6:30 treadmill run, flexability, plank and bench press) not sure on the body fat analysis. After the testing I added another 5k + on the treadmill before going to hockey. very good skate with a bunch of subs so it was quick shifting and fasted paced. Just want to get home and sit down in front of the TV for game 7. Have a great day.

Bike commute day - 16.9 miles in - low/mid 17s. Fairly cool, windy, and my legs a bit tight from yesterday's run.

Kittery lunch ride with co-worker, up 103, around Chauncey Creek, around the back side of 103 and home through the "Mouth ... Again - moderate pace .. Very scenic.

Short way home (10.9) for 46+ miles on the day. Looks like I'll have the wind at my back for homebound commute. Woo-hoo!

Also plan to hop on the Bruins bandwagon and watch the game tonight. Promises to be a classic. Never played ice hockey, don't skate well - but playing a lot of street hockey here has given me an appreciation for stick handling skills (I don't have any).

Today was Metro Rides Bike-to-Work Day. Metro Rides is part of Mountain Metropolitan Transit, the city bus service. My wife works in public relations there and her department is responsible for the bike day. There were several locations for people to bike to and get a free breakfast and enter a raflle, plus corporate challenges and other things. The main bike to spot is downtown where about 1200 people were registered. The spot near where I work only had about 20 people registered. I went there, then over to work, then came home and did my basic daily run. I don't actually work until this afternoon. I ended up winning a new bike pump in the raffle, but virtually everyone who went to that location won something. Kinda fun, but not many people riding on the east side of the city. My bike mileage came out exactly at an even mile, which is very rare.

Warm/low 70s - Sunny and windy. Crawford/Puckett/Security/Kiva/Fontaine/Grinnell/Crawford/Upton/home. Short medium effort run. Not a brick, but my legs were still feeling the ride a bit. Stretching afterward.

A tad over 4m run pushing the little otters around the lake. Saw two of the four goose families all hanging out together - the babies aren't babies anymore...now they're nasty goosy teenagers. LOL!

last double before CDA. AM was speedwork - 4x3:45 @ z4 was main set. Total was like 40min @ 3miles. Inside track since I didn't want to die being struck by lightning so no GPS and I didn't bother counting laps.

evening was a 2400 swim. 6x300 @ 1:25/100 pace - which is easy with the wetsuit. Except HOT in the pool. Took DS2 and he joined for about 20laps (he's 7). We taped his form and I gave some tips for his free breathing and it majorly flattened him up - so much faster, he's a quick learn.Proud Papa. His backstroke was great as is. His breaststroke kick needs help. They just started teaching it on his team and they are not real strict - so we worked on that. improved but more to go. Once he has that, he will progress into the next level. He's looking forward to doing meets and "having a big swim bag" LOL
