Morning all

Love the puppy pics! And I have nothing to say about the Anthony case other than it's a huge dissapointment.

In other news.....

I'm in desperate need of a wardrobe make over. All of my good work shirts that now fit are long sleeved and that's just not going to work when it's 8 billion degrees outside, my shorts are literally falling off me and my tshirts are so big the look re-DONK-u-lous. I just don't see why I can't wear race tshirts and jeans to work all of the time.

I too loved the puppy pics!

And I am envious of the boat you are in. I could definitely stand to loose 5-10 lbs right now. Think of it as a good opportunity to go shopping.

If I could fly you out I would, but the clothes shopping wouldn't be the main focus! Seriously Moe once our upstairs is done and we have some spare bedrooms I'll get you out here so you can have some peace and quite and relax. We have 80 acres of fields and woods to roam around in and it is pretty much dead silent out here.

I'm a total dork. I went to see the 1 and 2 cylinder cars last night and didn't take any pictures! Hopefully my dad will send some I can share later.

I have a new shirt on and several people have commented on it. I'm so twisted in the head that all I hear is "gee, you normally look awful" when all they said was "I like your shirt"

Morning gang...

Fun night with friends last night. Good food, good drinks, good conversation. That's the good news.

The bad news is that the trip to Cincy has been delayed a day due to a backed up drain in the basement. The joys of home ownership. But it means that I'll miss the big family meeting today where we're trying to convince my dad that assisted living Is where he needs to be.

Hello 30s ladies and boB!

Just managed to take a glance of the pup pics yesterday evening - fun stuff. The neighborhood cats seem to take a liking to my parents' backyard and the obvious thing would be to get a new pup, but a dog would be way out of the league of required care for my parents at this point in their life.

I seem to be back to my inability to get out of bed and be productive days. There's something about MO that is just not good for my mental health. Anyhow, I'm trying to restore order to the chaos of my house, and I'm making a list of all the places I need to go. I'm also meeting a friend for a movie this afternoon and I'm hosting Movie Night this evening. That will be enough couch potato-ness for one day, I think. Part of my cleaning spree is to try to find the cord that hooks the camera to the computer. My fingers are still crossed that I find it.

Hooray for cute shirts, losing weight and 30s B&Bs. Sign me up. I need some communal time with nature.

ooo then you REALLY wont like it out at my house. It's so quiet you can hear cyotes from miles away and they sound like they are right under the bedroom window.

I may just have to come to Boston then..... there's more shopping out there anyway.

Did someone say chocolate fudge?! /perk

Boo-hiss for leaking basements though. Yuck yuck and yuck.

This is a bit of a cross-post from facebook, but I'm still snickering. I don't know if I really carry myself any differently these days, but I'm feeling more confident in general than I have in a long timet, and I'm taking on new challenges in strange ways. As a small project at the house, I want to use plywood (or plywood-like stuff) to screw into the boards in the unfinished attic so i can actually walk a little up there. Not for storage, but mainly to/from the light, and also (for a more immediate nature) to see WTF is going on in a section where the roof dips down a little. My roofer will come look next week (he's out of town now), but I want to see if i need to figure out a way to brace the section for the time being.

Anyway, not only did I end up getting some helpful advice from a male customer (I never asked.. he just started a casual convo), when I was loading the pieces into my crv, I kid you not... an associate that was easily in his mid 40's or later RAN across part of the parking lot to help me. /snicker. I had it totally under control (wasn't struggling to get the pieces in the car or anything, and was wearing my gloves). I smiled and said it wasn't necessary, but he continued running my way. Even though when he got there, he said "Okay, so there's only one piece left, but you know I HAVE to help you with that at least!". And then he took my cart back. :)

It's not like people are hinting for dates or anything even close - (nor am I anywhere near ready to even consider dating) but I'm thinking that I'm either more approachable now, (maybe I smile more?) or I'm just more appreciative of little acts of kindness. heh. Either way, it's kind of a cool transition, whatever is the reason for it. For some crazy reason, I know that the support that the 30's crew has given me (and we give each other) has been part of my transition, and I guess I just wanted to share a little insight :)

Hi all! Fantastic trip home to STL, I really love being around my family ...they always bring out the best (eh and sometimes worse) in me. But overall we always laugh so much it's all worth while. At any rate, I just posted this in the run thread as well. My father was finally diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia and began chemo today. I know so many of us are affected by cancer, on sadly what seems like a daily basis, but if you could spare some positive thoughts for my dad I'd really appreciate it. He's remaining extremely positive & we're all trying to follow that lead.

I asked out a man I met when I was gallery sitting on Sunday, via email. Unfortunately it turns out he is seeing someone but sent me the nicest email, even said he was attracted to me too (and felt a little guilty telling me, but wanted me to know), so while I'm a little disappointed, I really don't feel badly.
