Morning folks! Met up for 7.75 before work in air that you could cut with a knife + 30 min upper/legs. Hopefully rain will cool things down today.

Morning zrun. Hope that rain does the trick.

I ended up going out yesterday and did R8W2. Going to do the same this morning despite some lingering fatigue thanks to a lousy nights sleep.

Dan- Looks like you are finally making some good progress.

I got out for a 3 mile tempo run this morning. 5 miles in 39:49(7:58). Mile splits were 7:12; 7:17; 7:03 and if I had to do one more mile I could of, but that was about it for today. I got 72 pushups in last night and will get in a core workout in a bit.

zrun--please don't send that weather this way! We're finally enjoying some cooler weather!

Dan--sounds like you are on the mend!

fuller--nicely done!

I was going to say that I have a rest day but I forgot that I already did my workout. You know it's bad when you workout so early that by 10am you forgot that you did it. 2500m in the fishbowl. Mad dash to get home by 8am to meet the chimney sweep.

Morning all,

I've got a race on tap tonight -- club mile & 3k championship races at a local HS -- but I just might be getting out before then for an easy midday 5 or so. Co-worker is itching to get out and he keeps asking me if I want to run with him in an hour or so.

So I just might get a double in today. That would be two days in a row. One one hand - race tonight. On the other - NYC in November, need to start getting serious about training. And tonight is not a target race. Hmm...

4bm - I don't think I've ever completely forgotten that I've done a workout but it does seem like sometimes there are entire portions of a workout (esp. an early morning run) where I just zone out and can barely remember afterwards what I saw/experienced during that phase of the run. Almost like I'm taking a little nap during my run.

zrun - yeah, humid here too. But it's DC/NoVA, comes with the territory.

Dan - very nice. You are improving quickly.

kevin - nice job on the tempo, esp the fast finish

Chances - you're the big Eggo waffles fan, right? Better read this article. And BBS, maybe you should read it too and then get to an Aldi to see what the enemy is up to (they just opened one near my office, I might have to check it out).

Sorry about that BBS! I tried to figure out how to delete my thread after I saw you posted, but gave up after a few minutes. Nice easy run & hope your legs are feeling better.

It's the battle of the threads! The old site used to show who was active in the forum so you could determine whether to wait to create a new thread. Not sure I see that now.

Anyway, nice workouts for those on the correct daily ;)

Felt like crap last night and worse this morning. Turned off 5am alarm and went back to bed. It may have been a blessing as it is nasty humid. In general, I'm wondering if my post hot & humid run nutrition has been sufficient? For sure I'm sleep deprived after Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully I'm not getting a summer cold/flu as I'm tired, achy, sore throat etc.
